Dead Rising 3 Coming to PC

Ever since I played the original Dead Rising back in the 360, I been a huge fan of it. The wackiness of the game had a charm that managed to make it stand out among the countless zombie games out there.

Needless to say, when the third entry was announced as an Xbox One exclusive I was quite saddened. I am in no shape or form going to buy a console for just one game, so instead I hoped that it would be released one day on PC.

That day has come. Capcom announced today that Dead Rising 3 will indeed be making its way to PC with improved graphics and everything. The game is supposedly coming during the summer, which is great, considering the lack of games this season is known for.

You can check the details and requirements here:

If the screenshots are any indication, the game does indeed look better, which hopefully means that it isn't just a straight port and that they rather put work into it. But since this is Capcom, let's not hold our breath about it.

Finally, was about to breakdown and buy that crappycableboxone that's only good for cooking eggs to play DR3!

Next up REturn Resident Evil to Survival Horror.

Port more RE games to PC.

Port DR1 over somehow PLEASE?!?!?!?!

I ONLY got my old 360 back to play it, that's how desperate I was! Sold it off though. :P (Can't stand Xbox WORST console series EVER!)

I feel you, man, that's exactly how I felt. The only game that was tempting me to get an X1 was DR3, but now that it's coming to pc, I see no reason to get the X1. They can keep Halo 5 and Fable 4 for all I care.

Actually that reminded me, Fable Anniversary is coming to PC as well.

If they are specially made for PC i say bring it on if its like watch dogs a bad console port i don't care they can keep there crap. Only wish for good PC game or very well done console port that very good for pc plus mouse/keyboard.

Capcom so far has a good record of bringing decent ports with both mouse/keyboard support and controller support. Unlike Ubisoft who has to be one of the worst developers for pc. I had screen tearing issues with AC4 and I have a pc powerful enough to run any game on max settings. That's how bad their ports are.

Wish 2 was for PC, since 3 is gone. 2 had more to it than 1. Never was fond of the first. Felt more linear, tiny leveled, and lackluster content.

DR2 is on PC, though uses GFWL if I remember right.

Must say this is good news, as I thought it was pretty balls that they decided to make it an Xbone exclusive, kinda funny they announcing it as an exclusive only to release it on PC not too long after the games release.

I plan on getting it when it's released, enjoyed the 2nd and Off the Record, I'm always fond of silly zombie killing. Can only hope that it runs well. Just curious, was there any DLC that was released for it?

Sadly even without the issues, I found that the game is nowhere near as enjoyable as its predecessors. They thought that just making the world huge was sufficient, but in doing so, they took away a lot of the charm of the game. I used to memorize the layout of the malls back in the old ones and hell, I even remember some of the names. I can't say the same for this one. They city feels just so......bland...it's really disappointing. Interacting with the survivors is also nowhere near as enjoyable and  the story is more convoluted than the original and that's saying something. When you take into account all the technical problems, this game ends up being a massive disappointment. A shame, really.

I just finished DR 3 and I have to say that I enjoyed every minute of it.  I had ZERO crashes and had no graphic issues either.  I didn't have any of the frame rate drops, nor any hesitating.  I loved the heck out of the open world and racked up 70k plus zombie kills.  I think all the complaining about FR drops is WAY over hyped.  Story has never been DR's strong point in my opinion, it is just a teaser to getting to the point of the game.......zombie killing time.  The special moves are pretty killer and the ability to craft combo weapons\vehicles is nifty.

If you liked the previous DR games, then you probably will enjoy DR 3.

Well if Greg says it's good then it must be. Just got to have high end specs. Not sure what's worse, being stuck with integrated graphics for something that can't play jack of today's standards or the fact that it'll cost me a kidney to get a new PC for just this game.

The zombie killing is fantastic, but I'm having a hard time enjoying the city itself. I can't exactly explain it, but I guess is just not as memorable as say Fortune City.
