OK, maybe I'm stupid (although I know I'm really not!), but I can't seem to get SexLab diary to work.  By my count, I have had sex with 9 women and 4 men since adding SexLab.  I also have Lover's Comfort and SexLab Aroused.  I have noticed an increase in the variety and amount of dialog of other NPCs around me since adding these.  Also some information screens pop up when ~ is used.  But I still can't seem to get a count of my scores.

 

I have read the FAQ and several other topics about how to use SexLab, and I am still at a loss as what mods are suitable for beginners like me.  I'm not complaining, but they just seemed to confuse me more.  And right now I am missing valuable game and fucking time by having to stop and ask for help.

 

I also have Animated Prostitution in case that makes a difference.

 

I am hoping that some one can recommend a couple of mods that are easy on beginners and also can get my female high elf laid.  She swings both ways.  Some things not too complicated for a beginner.  Something, in short, that will be gentle to a newbie like me.

 

Anyone out there have any suggestions?  I would really appreciate it y'all.

From what I have seen, this is an outstanding bug with 1.57. I haven't read anywhere Ashal confirming this, but my experience with a brand-spanking, clean install with a new character confirms this, and I have read other posts corroborating it. Probably not super high on Ashal's priority list, so it may sit like this for a small spell... 

 

The "~" key is the basic Skyrim console key - it has nothing to do with SexLab or any other mods. Read the section "Accessing ... " under here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Console

 

I don't know for sure, but I think that Animated Prostitution is probably not used by SexLab users very much - in fact there might be some conflicts between the two, since they are both sex animation frameworks in a sense. 

 

As far as what do you need to install for mods? Well, it depends - do you want to basically just play Skyrim with some occasional sex scenes thrown in, vis-a-vis Game of Thrones? Or do you just want to use SexLab to initiate sex, without really pursuing the core Skyrim gameplay?

Any sex initiated using the "Animated Prostitution" mod would NOT be included in the diary. If you want to prostitute your player and or followers then you should use the prostitution mods that are written to use Sexlab. That only thing none of them have that AP does is the automated prostitution part of AP, they do have more and better sex animations through the framework though to compensate.

Yeah, ditch AP pronto. It has conflicted with SexLab for me. And it's not needed since there are two SL prostitution mods that are heads and shoulders above AP in every way (like better play, better animations and more options/animations).

OK, I am willing to ditch AP, but I still want to have a lot of sex and still play the game.  I do not want to prostitute Lydia.  So if I get rid of AP what SexLab mods should I get.  gvman mentioned two mods, but did not tell me their names.   I would like something similar to AP, but with the better options that y'all are telling about.  Just point me in the right direction, if you don't mind too much.

To get the best value out all of this, it is going to take some level of patience, research and experimentation. Mods have differing levels of quality, and completeness, so potentially you could get frustrated with any number of mods out there. There is a "SexLab Index" which attempts to collect the mods into one list and collate them by type:

Edit: Personally, for prostitution, I've only used http://www.loverslab.com/topic/24450-radiantprostitution-tweaked/. If you are interested in playing the core Skyrim game, do regular quests, but like to see your player character, and perhaps followers have sex along the way, look into SexLab Defeat as a basic "death alternative/combat sex" mod. Submit and SD+ are also good. All three are actively maintained.

I'd definitely recommend Radiant Prostitution.  You don't have to prostitute your followers (unless you want to, it doesn't default to that, you have to follow a dialog option and give them an item if I recall).

 

Another thing you may want to try out is Sexlab Submit (or some variant).  Even if you don't want the combat/rape aspect, it also gives you a dialog seduction option for NPCs, and you can turn the rest of it off if desired.

Playing a female toon using the Radiant Prostitution mod was also a good combination. I am between toons right now and considering how I will play my next toon but it really helps to have an idea of what you want your toon to be like before you start.

Actually, I am looking for something similiar to Animated Prostitution, but without whoring around.    I mean selling it.  Just for kicks, I made Maven turn tricks for me.  At first no one wanted her, but I had her do a dance and then she has had several takers.  Now I don't mind whoring that bitch is she'll make some  money for me. 

 

I have Lover's Comfort.  I was literally shocked when Gisli went down on her brother who she says she hates.  I guess what I am looking for is just something like AP, but not AP.  Something without money switching hands maybe?  I tried looking at the index and got lost in all the mods in there.  I'm going to give Matchmaker a try if I can find it.  I'll keep you posted as to my progress.   Actually Radiant Prostitution and TDF Prostitution are fun in a kinky way that I like.

Sexlab Romance, Submit, and Sexlab Stories all are or have ways of initiating consensual sex via dialog (Submit and Stories also allow this to influence relationship ranks with npcs)

 

Sexlab Attraction + Approach will have npcs approach the pc to ask for sex (w/o money).

 

But most of these have already been suggested.

 

I used to use AP (before I discovered this site) so, just in case, be aware that a lot of the mods here have dependencies that you have to install for them to work: FNIS, SkyUI, Fuz Ro D'oh, and the like. Eiher BOSS or the newer LOOT are also very handy for sorting your load orders.

 

Personally, what I'd advise is to find something that suits your immediate desires, but come back to LL now and then and just browse other things.

 

Oh, and I almost forgot. Sexlab Solutions (there are two versions, V2 is currently in beta development) that bring sex into some of the vanilla quests... this is an awesome mod imo, and very easy to install and use.

In addition to those listed you might want to check out random sex as well then. I don't know if it has been updated to the latest sexlab series but it just has sex randomly occuring. sometimes between NPC's and sometimes with the PC.

If you aren't interested in pimping yourself then you don't need the radiant mod, but you can use TDF to make Maven your bitch and pimp her out to all and sundry.

 

Edit: I see you've already started doing that . I like TDF for that ability to take the NPCs I like the least and put their assets to work making money for me.

I always have Match Maker and TDF Prostitution installed (and of course Zaz and Aroused as they're required files). Then is some profiles I also activate Defeat and/or Lover's Victim, sometimes even Submit. Just depends on the playthrough and that character's personality.

OK, y'all know what has happened, don't you?  I have started whoring Danar (my player, a female high elf) around and then added Karita.  That little vixen Karita really got into it.  She runs from having sex with one person to soliciting others right away.  And she is very successful at it, she even got Lydia to pay for it twice.  Just before I quit the game this afternoon, I went ahead and started pimping Lydia.  She was so shy and shocked when I first approached her about having sex with her, but I that was because of the quest to get Lydia to have sex with Danar. 

 

Anyhow, I'm really enjoying them having fun.  It gives us something to do in between running errands for Vex and Delvin.  Those are errands, not really jobs they are all so easy.   Burglary and fishing.  So simple for someone of Danar's skills.  So I'm happy.  I also have Matchmaker, Approach, Attraction and Romance so I don't have to be a whore all the time.  I even got Sam G. to pay while he was in the Bannerd Mare trying to get me to have a drinking contest with him.  I know who he is and don't feel like doing that right now.  He'll wait.

Started a new character and she's not into selling herself or even her teammates but is quite willing to use any of the other NPCs that would otherwise be doing boring things or next to nothing at all to generate some cash when needed. She does have a weakness for men of power like Yarls though. Accordingly I set her desire to go up very slowly in Aroused.

 

Its quite a challenge to keep her from getting raped since I have both the Populated series mods that add a lot more bandits and the OBIS mod installed which makes for much tougher bandits. It's easy for her party of gals to get overwhelmed by a lot of high level bandits and then abused until they can escape only to have to go back and try their luck again hoping they killed enough the first (or second or third) time to make it possible to prevail. My girl is becoming quite adept at shooting then fleeing, her followers though tend to run forward when they should run back.

 

That's where mods like Sexlab Submit and Sexlab Defeat come in. I like the dialog that submit provides but prefer the defeat scenarios from Defeat, especially since Defeat allows for any NPC on NPC or Creature on NPC encounter to turn into a sexual situation.
