chajapa Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I'm looking at this mod and wondered if anyone uses it. I play mostly in 3rd person except when in tight spaces like dungeons, caves, etc. I use Immersive First Person for a few things as well. What am I trying to fix? When my character stands idle, the camera is centered on screen but the character is pushed off to one side. I'm hoping to get my character centered on screen better. And hopefully centering the camera better accomplishes that. Any insights or experience with this would be welcomed. Thanks!
chajapa Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 Adding to my own post here. I installed this and it seems to be playing nice with everything. Immersive First Person appears to be completely unaffected and continues to work fine. The mod I linked to only changes the 3rd person view and it has presets you can switch to with a hotkey. It does not appear you can ADD presets, but you can edit the ones included. Kinda nice actually and you can switch back to default as that's one of the presets.
Veladarius Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I use that mod myself. If you want your character centered then set the Horizontal to 0. Typically I set it so the crosshair is just below the top of the head normally but in combat I raise it by 10 and offset it horizontally by 15. I also use the adaptive sneak and set that to 10 to 15.

Thanks! That will take some guesswork out of some settings.
chevyowner Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I use that mod, and from what I have seen it really messes up archery. For me if I have the camera move up 10 vertically I then have to guess where 10 down is as the camera moves but not where the arrow is aiming. Other then that it is a good mod.
Veladarius Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Use the mod Proper Aiming, it lines up the crosshair with the arrow trajectory much better. You will still need to adjust for arrow drop over range but once you get used to it you can be very accurate.

I really tend to favor ranged characters so that would be awesome to have both playing nice.
Veladarius Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Yes. One of my favorite tactics is picking off people from long distance using a bow. I can hit targets at the extreme range of bows without much of a problem in 3rd person (I can't stand the 1st person view of things).
