Invalid or unusable mod files

Forgive me if this is just a product of my stupidity or some inventive manner in which I've managed to mess up my files, but here goes.

There are some, thus far three, files which I cannot install using the NMM, saying simply it 'cant be added'. Having meddled with them (or attempted to) I've found that none of them are open-able. Two in the form of 7zip files give me the 'cannot open as archive' error, and one in the form of a zipped folder says it is 'invalid' and claims to have no files in it. All working mods i use I can open and poke around in, at least to some level, so it seems obvious to me there must be a connection.

I would very much like to know if this is a common problem or if I've just managed to bugger it up somehow, and if there is a way to fix or circumvent the issue.

Try updating your 7-zip winrar and whatever else you are using to open rar/zip files. I have 3 different ones 7 zip winrar and uniextrator. If I have a problem with one I switch to another one. Other times when I get a error I open the archive and drag the files out manually with 7-zip. If nothing else try downloading those files again to see you a error happened during the download that caused the file to break.

Insofar as the zipped folder i mentioned, it was just a faulty download and i feel a bit silly mentioning it. At to the others, I've re-downloaded them multiple times and the problem persists. I've used the latest versions of both 7zip and winrar to no avail, the zip files continue to produce the 'cannot open as archive' error. Frankly, I could live with that if I could just install the files, but it remains impossible, and I suspect the two must be related.

I hate to be the one to have to tell you this, but you don't have to unzip an .esp file. :P Just stuff it in there and go. Drag and drop is all you've gotta' do with that Radiant Schlongs file. I didn't check the other, but if it's an .esp then you do the same with it.

This is what i get for not paying attention to file designations. I feel a bit of a ponce, but thanks.

No biggie! :D You should see some of the stupid things I've done!
