Derethevil Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Hi there! Well im sure im not the first one with this idea, but i couldnt find a thread about more Elements.  Simply put.  I remember the good old Oblivion Hud elements which shows you desires, menstrual cycle, etc. Since ive seen Defeat with the new Hud Escape bar and the clock widget im sure there is more possible again. So the idea should more or less explains itself.  More HUD Elements. Desire. Menstrual Cycle. The options are endless i guess.  Of course every modder should make his own element like for Beeing Female or such things. But it should be possible, or am i wrong?  And as far as ive seen it, you really only need SKSE. I mean thats the only thing ive installed in my knowledge, which is needed by a matter of Time.  Maybe im even already to late with this idea and most of our modders are already about to release a HUD element for their mod.  Well then. Thanks for reading. Maybe we will see something happening soon.  Derethevil.
milzschnitte Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 It's not possible that easy. The problem is that the HUD can only be changed once (for all mods) Every mod that wants to change the HUD will overwrite all other mods that change the HUD. I already thought about a HUD Menu for BeeingFemale, but i won't implementate it becuase of this reason. (That's also the same reason why i've removed the Perks again) Â It would be possible to create an alround HUD Framework where moder can create there elements and the HUD Framework will load those elements, but this doesn't exist right now and i don't think someone will create something like that. There are already to many custom HUDs out there. Since SKSE 1.7 alpha it's possible to create custom window-elements... like a Skill-Training window, message window, race menu, .... but my point is that it's not possible to change the HUD without overwriting the basic HUD menu. Â i could use something like that, too, for displaying the current menstrual cycle state, constraception, when to drink the next contraception fluid, and so on....

milzschnitte Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 ah ok, than my point was a bit to overdue and i need to take a look on this feature
Band_Geek3 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I believe the most successful example of this would be A Matter of Time, which is a lovely and useful HUD widget. Perhaps somebody could take a look at the innards of that one for ideas.

EternalDamned Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Neither, you can adjust what and where you want the elements of A matter of time to appear. The normal messages in upper left corner will flow right over the widget if you have it there.
Kinky Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 After installing Extensible Follower Framework beta you will see some amazing new things that can be added to user interface.
tazdotnet Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 a matter of time uses skyui to add ui elemnts, they are called widgets
