Hmm' date=' well, it seems as though the faces of those characters are darker than their bodies as well? Judging by the one right behind you, anyway.

And were the followers supposed to greet me with Throw Voice clips? o_O

I think it's a side-effect. I found it strange myself :/

It might have something to do with the FemaleEvenToned voice, which is Lydia's and is one of the main PC default voices.

About the whole body thing, nah, at least I don't think so.

By the brown face issue, I thought you meant it was brown, like deep tanned, all the time in light or not. That's the face bug, where somehow they smothered their face in brown paint and didn't bother to wash it off.

Well, they are brown all the time. It was just even darker before I did the hackjob. It's a lot less noticeable when you stand in the light of a fire, but outdoors or in shadows it gets really obvious.

Incidentally, I'll dig up the screenshot from a few pages back, to show before the hackjob my character looked like this when not near a fire, and the NPCs were even darker:

Anyway, isn't the SummonElinRing you included in the super pack the outdated one with the masks? The archive name and last modified dates on the folders inside match the ones from the old one.

The new one, however, seems to require files from the old one to work just like the race does. And I think it's letting them to have moving faces, but still equipping the mask items to end up with extra tails.

Yes, but did you check the Errata archive from before? That contains the fix.

Strange, I find the screenshot OK. Let me go walk my character outside in the sunlight. I'll place a screenshot here when I'm done.

Oh, right, I forgot that you simply forgot to include it in the first pack, my bad.

But yeah, it appears as though the summoned NPCs are displaying their default fox tail while equipping different hairs that come with other ears and tails. I guess that's just a bug then... unless none of yours do that?

(Using removeallitems on them shows they're all the same base Elin underneath their items, with yellow fox ears and tails.)

Here's the screenshot:

Yeah, the removeallitem thing indicates that you didn't use the updated version, which changes all the faces and hairs around without the need of the masks and hair helmets.

I don't see much wrong with the head texture though, however it does seem a bit more "rosy" giving it a slightly darker look, though the textures themselves are from TERA essentially. Might be that the graphics engine interprets them differently from their parent game.

Edit: And as I say this, I find a weight map for the Elin I missed :/

Here it is: http://skup.dip.jp/up/up02635.7z

Place it in your textures/actors/2chElinfix folder, or something along those lines

I keep forgetting there are two ways to type out Elin, one in english, the other in katakana.

I'm certain I'm using the updated ring mod though. I got it from SummonElinRing_OrigMerge, and I have both the old one and the new one installed, with the new one overwriting whatever it needs to from the old.

I'm checking the construction kit on both. Apparently, the helmets are still attached, but not the masks. I think this was a heckjob way of having various NPCs without having to make a billion NPCs. The easiest way for me to deal with this is to manually make all the NPCs with different hairs and equip a circulet or something.

Shoulda mentioned that I don't use the ElinRing that much since my custom NPCs do a far better job.

Yeah, the ring itself just doesn't seem like it has much use, between graphical bugs, requiring the ring to stay equipped, and draining health upon summon and death.

Just wish I could get rid of the dang brown faces though. I suppose that's more to do with the Creation Kit's bug than anything. I had wanted to just stick some Elins wandering around player owned houses but I just can't get over the face color being so radically different than the body.

It's a strange bug, since I don't have the same sort of brown/black face issue :/

I can only assume that the game has become self-aware at this point and has a grudge aganist Elin /:

Also figured out what the previous weight map did. It smooths the face out to be much less blocky.

with the updated elin mod i dont know if i have everything in order because no matter what i do the hands and feet dont match at all. there is a slight seam and they dont match any of the skin tones, they're just a really bright white skin color.

also with the armors included with the mod are they all masks or something because any with exposed skin on them changes the color from your chosen skin tone?

@Kashim: If you're talking about a pose, I don't have it. If you're talking about the idle, then I do happen to have a file, though I'm not sure if it's the one you want: http://skup.dip.jp/up/up02375.zip

There is a bunch included in the idle mod in the compilation package.

@eboncrown: Since I haven't beens screwing around with skin tone, let me see if I can figure out that problem. The seam problem has been there for quite a while, from the first version upward, though I'll see if I can't mix and match older meshes and textures to get a better result.

The armors are generally all masks, so essentially there is no helmet. The SummonElinRing does have armors with the masks but you can wear the armor without them and not suffer a neck seam issue, however the skin tone is built into them, as with most of the TERA armors.

You CAN wear other armors, but make sure you wear the boots and gloves or seams will be ruptured so to speak.

EDIT: Here's the results, skin tone DOES change. It works quite well actually. I may have to make a new compilation package with myself personally extracting and adding thems to ensure (hopefully) it works. Seams have been present ever since version 1 (Actually, most of the body meshes and textures haven't been fiddled with since Version 1).

An update for ya. The hands issue and the seams can be somewhat fixed by using other meshes and textures in place of it. I used the ones from Complete Loli V0.3, and it does fix all the issues from before, but you lose the original Elin body from TERA (So no high heels nor mickey-mouse hands or massive thighs), but the new ones look good and you can wear vanilla armors without having the hand seams being painfully apparent.

You'll need to rename some files though, since some of the file names don't match up with the Elin ones. And another note, don't replace any of the face textures, trust me. Namely anything to do with the body textures, hand meshes, feet meshes, hand textures, and feet textures. Of course I can just recompile mine and save everyone a flaming head ache :/

Also, the armors, the only ones that don't have a skin tone built into it are the ones from fox6000, however they're all light armors, and they're all mage/cloth armors in TERA. So you don't get the plate or leather versions from TERA unless you have a fair-skinned Elin and use the ones from SummonElinRing.

There is an extra pack called ElinFullPack however the armor there has neck issues due to the armor basically being a static model instead of something that resizes.

Keep in mind, if need be I'll make another compilation package, just specify what you need and I'll see if I can't make it happen.
