Akantorz Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I've installed sexlab framework, some additional sexlab mods like defeat, and I have the latest version of SKSE but none of it is working... Is it because I use UNP instead of CBBE? Or is something just set up incorrectly? Please help... My only thought is something is installed wrong since when I knock down a bandit for example: it doesn't give any option other than revive...
nutluck Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 UNP will work fine, I use it myself. My guess is something is not installed correctly but lets work out way down the list. First you have the latest version of sexlab installed 1.55 correct? Second you have the alpha build ok SKSE installed 1.7 correct? Third you have the latest version of FNIS installed 5.2 (I think that is the version number) correct? If you answer yes to all the above run FNIS and copy and paste the text output here.

Next question is do sex animations work with any mod?
Guest Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 seriously; deleted old SL & Defeat, redownload current versions again (7.zip) install, FNIS generator no problems and all animations detected (creature all that shit arm fix) no papyrus missing warning (thank god this time) but still no animations aside from getting my ass kicked and stripped. Is this for real? I have never had trouble with a mod not loading or executing correctly before until I got SL. Trying to run this for 2 days and I the defeat mod is great (tie ups even work gags and hancuffs) but SL is a giant piece of garbage. Just frustrated.
nutluck Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 yeah but if you don't answer questions then no one can help you find the problem. If you have the animations work with other mods then we know it is a defeat issue, if it doesn't work with other mods then it is a animation or skeleton issue.

Next question is do sex animations work with any mod? Using the XPMS extended skeleton with HDT. Followed by running CHSBHC, but I didnt overwrite the skeleton it has just used the mesh and animations to get the initial BBP followed by CBBE BBP conversion with Bodyslide tool. Should I overwrite the skeleton? and go body type first than to XMPS extended or original install path overwright (XMPS>CHSBHC>CBBE bodyslide). Lastly I am running HDT armor pack that changes the mesh files for the body (I love cleavage on Nexus) but their is no skeleton included in the file pack. Also no other mod animations work, but I first tried Defeat 4.2 version (not beta 5.1) and same issue so I figured if the previous didnt work might as well try the beta. Will attempt a secondary mod to test out on my clean save. Wish me luck.
Akantorz Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 Do you directly need the Alpha build of SKSE 1.7 or can you have one of the later versions?
nutluck Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Ok as for the skeleton I honestly don't know cause I have not used the extra's you have installed. I don't know for sure. My guess is they are designed to overwrite the skeleton but I am not positive. Ok if no animations are working with any mod we have a starting point then. First step i would like you to try is make a brand new character and just quickly play it to a spot where you can start a sex animation. See if it starts then. The reason I am asking you to do this, is this will tell us if there is a problem with your save or a problem with sexlab or the animations. Once we know that we can move onto the next step of tracking down what exactly is causing your problem.
nutluck Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Do you directly need the Alpha build of SKSE 1.7 or can you have one of the later versions? I am going to say you need 1.7, this is quoted from the sexlab download page. ----- Requirements ------------------------------------------------------------- Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) REQUIRES SKSE 1.7.0 OR NEWER Fores New Idles in Skyrim (FNIS) REQUIRES FNIS 5.0 OR NEWER SkyUI REQUIRES VERSION 4.1 OR NEWER If you dislike SkyUI for some reason, you can also install SkyUI-Away on top of it. FNIS Creature Pack version 4.1 or newer is required only if you want creature animation support in SexLab, otherwise it is not required. As you can see it says SKSE 1.7 or newer is a requirement. Try updating to SKSE 1.7, you may have to reinstall Sexlab and all the sexlab mods as well.

Testing from new game, will update with results after, thanks for your help nutluck; sorry for being crash its just SOOOOO close to working and I have wracked my brain attempting to figure out what is not activating. I have immense amount respect for all you devs and coders because you work these things out on a daily basis. I have fired up a full pot of french roast (blacker than the blackest black (x) infinity) and rushing at this with new found determination.
nutluck Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I am not a dev or coder. I am just a user like you that started modding 9 months ago and have learned enough about how things work i can help solver a lot of the problems others like you are having. No worries on the rest and you are welcome. It is very frustrating when things don't work, I remember when i started I made such a massive hash I ended having to uninstall skyrim and reinstall it and start over I broke things so badly. I have made a few more mistakes requiring me to do a lot of fixing as well. So I all to well know how frustrating it can be, which is why i try to help other fix problems to the best of my ability. Just understand I am not a coding, I am just a user of mods like you that has learned a few things the hard way by making mistakes.
Guest Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Test 1 update: using CHSBHC skeleton, FNIS recognized (107 bone count) and regular load running. Failed to initiate sex, bandits still strip and VO's no occur (5.1 Defeat) but still walk away and reaggro upon stand up. Only 1 attempt as the HDT pack caused mesh problems when died (boobs stretched like taffy after slump). On to the next round.
Guest Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Test Update 2: Reverting back to XP32 maximum skeleton (SKSE version), FNIS register higher bone count but unidentified skeleton (232 count) no change; knockdown> "mercy/yield" from PC> struggle bar activates>strip> deaggro and walk away.
nutluck Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 After that try starting a brand new character and see if it works for that character.
Akantorz Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 I'm going to try a brand new character, if it doesn't work, then most likely the issue then is something else which I might have an idea, if it is the issue.

Akantorz Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 Well have the newest version of SKSE and I have other mods that recognize it so I'm going to try a new character and see if that is the issue...
nutluck Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Ok that was going to be my next suggestion anyways. If it works on a new character then we know it is a issue with your save, if it doesn't then we know it is a issue with sexlab or the animations. Either way we have more information to try and pinpoint the problem.
Akantorz Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 I think it's not liking the way SKSE is installed...since it keeps claiming it's not installed yet every other mod recognizes it. I'm gonna try and reinstall it to see if it works...

When you mention latest version is it the latest stable or the with the most recent update post (1.7) I ran into this before I tried SL thinking nothing was running on the 1.7 build and had to uninstall and update. Also check the install path and to verify when at the skyrim logo screen, open console command (~) type "getskseversion" and it it's loaded properly it will show the version number as a result
Guest Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Update: haven't run test 3 yet on brand new char out of helgen (unbound opening quest) but does opening quest ctd with SL and Defeat running? It's so script heavy that 75% of my mod load has to be turned off during it (have since found the culprit thanks to BOSS modification) but would a clean save char be ok? (Finish unbound chilling out in embershard mine before river wood @ lvl 1) or brand spanking new char creation char?
Tixt Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I have had the exact same problems with regard to being attacked then after stripped the attackers stop and re agro me when I get up. I can tie up people and execute them but any attempt to rape anyone on a saved game fails. I have tried to test this on a new charachter and defeat works fine, but on both my saved games it will not work. anyone have a suggestion for me to get this to work on my saved games?

It shouldn't, but I use Live another life Alternate Start mod as it is a safer way to start the game and if you want to still do the cart ride you can. I would say try a brand new character create a new one. If you do that and things work then we know the issue is with your saves. Until you do that we don't know if it is a issue with saves or a issue with animations, or a mod or what. We have to remove all the possibilities to narrow down the cause.
