Guest Donkey Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 if it is the case, mine got stuck long ago.. I don't think post count counts. i only have 4 stars + 2200 posts. 3/4 are helping when doing oblivion mods.
Guest GingerTom Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Someone should make a new account and do a Star guide using the new acccount as tester I watched to see what would happen when I made 100 posts. I got 3 stars added to my original 3 stars. (PLease don't hate me.)
Guest Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 FUUUUUUUUUUUUU~~~ jklol But seriously, this system is messed up. ASHAL! GETCHYO ASS OVA HERE! YOU GOT SUM FIXIN TA DO!!
Sand_Dragon Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Maybe the stars are based on a combination of posting frequency and post count?
Kashked Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I am leaning towards the theory that members who reached 100 posts before a certain points didn't recieve the stars (along with the bold name in the userlist), while newer members like myself who reached 100 AFTER that point got the stars...
Triratna Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Only 'thanks count' determine vouches & respect counts. But we them no more.
kevanlol Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Hey, look. I got lots of stars. Don't ask me how... but I recently hit 100 posts? Speaking of which, where is the secret area that I unlock!
FusRoDah Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Hey' date=' look. I got lots of stars. Don't ask me how... but I recently hit 100 posts? Speaking of which, where is the secret area that I unlock! [/quote'] I don't think there is one. >.<
gregathit Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 It never got implemented, or another way to look at it....your in it already
Guest Donkey Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 how do you change this : mine says Contributor yet everyone seem to have different things ?? Never mind..
Slammer64 Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Your nick in green still says "Contributor" Donkey
Guest Donkey Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 No it doesn't Damn your right.. That is just regular tittle.
Guest GingerTom Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Please don't tell me it's been there all along because I just noticed it--but what does that little 'snowman' at the end of our names mean? Some are white--mine's blue. (Strange, I don't feel blue.)
Nonsense667 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Please don't tell me it's been there all along because I just noticed it--but what does that little 'snowman' at the end of our names mean? Some are white--mine's blue. (Strange' date=' I don't feel blue.) [/quote'] If it is grey then the user is offline. If it is blue then the user is currently online. Naturally, unless you are not signed in, you will always see yours as blue.
Masterpandabear Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Since i am new here maybe we can use me as a guinea pig of sorts...
Guest GingerTom Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 @Masterpandabear You should have been here when I got six stars total when I hit 100 posts! LOL
gregathit Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Currently the stars don't mean anything for the most part. They, along with a thanks tracking system that had to be abandoned because it was crashing the site, were a sort of rank seniority mechanism. Not that this really had any real meaning. From what I can tell having been here a bit there are users, contributors, and moderators. Within the user and contributor groups there are no levels that I have ever seen. All and all it (the stars) are just something pretty to look at is the bottom line
Surenas Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Thanks for the information! Thought it'd be some sort of fuel gauge, ooops! ♫ Hiding pussy is a crime! ♫
FusRoDah Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Bah' date=' i wanted to be used for science =( [/quote'] We can still do what if you want.
Guest Loogie Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I was once used for science and I haven't pooped right since. Or at least, the hobo was adamant it was science.
Nonsense667 Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I was once used for science and I haven't pooped right since. Or at least' date=' the hobo was adamant it was science. [/quote'] For the record, I am not the hobo being referred to in this post.
Nite_Star Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Seeing the stars means you have been punched out lol..
Tossie Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I was once used for science and I haven't pooped right since. Or at least' date=' the hobo was adamant it was science. [/quote'] Mmm reminds me of the lobotomy in that swamp DLC for Fallout Tree.
