So my left mouse button seems to be permanently in a "pressed" state, even though outside of the game it works perfectly fine. I can see no damage or deformities to my mouse physically either, so what's up? When I do anything, open the pipboy, go to the pause menu and such, I can't click because the cursor is acting like I'm hyper-tapping my button. This has never happened before. Here is my load order, though it's hard for me to believe it is causing it. Here is my load order, it has picked up some weight over time... had 90 a few days ago. I had over 140 for a minute but then trimmed it down. Any help would be appreciated. randompeep Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 I've determined it only happens after I go to the weapons tab in the pipboy. However, I can counter this by using the arrow keys to selected then deselected a weapon- finally switching to a new tab. But this is such a hassle, as it does not go back to normal still. I merely can use the keys to navigate around, and cannot attack with any weapon. Strangely, when left unequipped I have limited control over fists. Though, after playing around with it more, I learned that it will endlessly loop my attacks even after I have stopped clicking. Which seems to suggest it indeed is a problem with game, I even unplugged my mouse, and gamepad but to no avail.
nyaalich Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 FWIW, 140 isn't the same limit for everyone. Mine is 100. I can't say that that's what's going on here as that I've never experienced that problem with the mouse before. For non-Sexout, non-MCM, non-new world cells mods, you might consider making a merged mod to decrease your order more. Stuff that you always install. For example, you've got a lot of armor mods and what I presume are character face redesign mods.
Guest Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 but exactly what happens in game? because if a script is holding the left button, about everything is stuck, you can access to the pipboy but you can't select anything. anyway if you think it's the cause, try ingame to open the console and write RELEASEKEY 256, see if it unstuck it (first do that in gamemode, after closing the pipboy). If a script is affecting that, I only can assume JIP selective fire could work with these functions, but I never opened the esp to check it, anyway it would deserve to be unflagged to check if it solves (assuming it's not required for other JIP's mods, I remember tools of trade was requiring it, I don't know about the other ones)

About my limit for mods, I haven't particularly noticed any problems when I was over 140. I was just assuming that was the normal limit, so I thought best to chop down a bit more. I don't regularly use merged patches. Actually, I don't have any at all, can I go about that in FNV Edit? PS:Okay I'm trying these things now... but does the merged patch just create a patch for everything? Cause it has a lot of masters... I'm trying to select some plugins in particular to merge together. RELEASEKEY 256, is a temporary fix it seems. I can resume playing but, when going back to the weapons tab it triggers again. Thus having to type in the command. On a note, the command has no effect in the weapon tab. Maybe it has something to do with what I picked up but, it's affected two different character saves. I just noticed that the flashlight (NVSE version) mod I have, keeps flickering when I press the assigned key (J). So maybe if I remove/reinstall it, there may be a fix. No, I reinstalled it and unified hud. The flickering stopped, but the hard-lock on the left mouse button when going to the weapons tab persists.
davidporter89 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 having used jip selective fire and flashlight nvse i can say they are both very buggy, but no one has done better so i'm not trashing it. i can guarantee that jip is a part of it, and will also go out on a limb and say that flashlight nvse probably distorts some scripts as well. the flicker in flashlight nvse is a result of the way it is designed ( thats not one light source but MANY and as such the attenuation falloffs cause the flicker. it is not a bug. a merged patch just takes overwritten info and re-applies it at the end of the load order. very useful. if you are wanting to merge mods TOGETHER there is a java based program here. www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39655/ for a script based merge..... www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37981. good luck. you'll need it.

randompeep Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 Alrighty, so it appears to be fixed. I loaded up 2 different saves and had at e'm. Switching to the weapon tab appears to be okay. Here is my new load order, it rose and fell from time to time- I have not exactly figured out the merged patch yet. I have created several but... I was hoping that would eliminate the need for the original plugins in the first place. Merge patch (for select plugins) still required original plugins to be activated thus affecting my load order/number of mods active. Otherwise, things are moving well. I noticed some issues when at 140 or over, so perhaps I have met my limit. I'm not sure what fixed the problem, actually I had been removing some non-essential plugins/fomods. I did deactivate some mods like the weapon configuration menu several times, and the JIP-select fire fomod is disabled for now, I will have to test and see if that's what caused it. I first noticed it was gone after I reactivated the weapon mod configuration menu. BruceWayne Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 No, it would shrink the load order if you were to merge single weapon/outift/fix plugins. Sexout mods are all script heavy and reliant on being seperate in order to communicate with each other, if necessary. Unless you know what you are doing on a technical level and are willing and able to rewrite unknown code, you should never do that.

randompeep Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 Okay, I created a merged patch for about 5 equipment (weapon mods) all by the same author. This is actually just a test but... this is what I did. First in FNVedit I selected only the plugins I wanted to merge as active - let it load. Then I right clicked and created the merged patch while highlighting the selected mods. Then I went to the FNVplugin and opened that just created merged plugin, and selected files to merge from the file/merge plugins button. Selected the 5 I wanted to merge and applied it (saved). I load up the saves, no crashes or anything. But when I add the item(s) to my inventory, one of them has a missing mesh. The others have the default textures (vanilla textures and meshes). So.. did I do something wrong? EDIT: Okay, first problem with the missing mesh was fixed.... I forgot to extract meshes and textures.
