Moon & Star: new mod, new video, new investigation

This is my new video...

A showcase of the new mod Moon&Star. One of finest quest mod I've ever played, for quality, if not for quantity,.

And also a homage to the most popular detective of all time.

But now let the investigation begin!

As for the Moon & Star mod itself, I have just finished a playthrough, and I highly recommend it. The quest is short but rewarding, the mod ran bugfree and glitchfree for me, the voice acting is superb, and the identity of the criminal is ... something I will certainly not spoil for you.

 

The only potential problem is the change made to the Lake Ilinalta cell(s), the village of Little Vivec placed there might conflict with house mods or similar you might be running.

For me I don't ever look at the blogs here or anywhere else or facebook for that matter.

 

I would just do both I don't think anyone on the site would mind you having a blog and a single topic for your videos.

It is indeed. Realty prices for that area must be soaring!

 

There is one house mod, btw, that does not conflict with Little Vivec at all, but fits in rather neatly. It is "Sepredia" (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29708/?), featuring a cottage on the south bank of the lake close by the bridge to Little Vivec, with all the necessary comforts. Nice place to stay at and call your own if you decide to keep Moon & Star after playthroughs, if only for the sake of the village and, say, its merchant and two trainers. Both mods complement each other quite nicely, I think.

When I first started modding and watched Gophers beginners guide I then started watching all the stuff I could find like his Mod Sanctuary and yours was one of several channels I found and watched stuff on to see if they was mods for me.

You mean like this. This is a forum thread, right? Or it's just a topic of a thread?  ​

I meant you could do it one of two ways with the forum.

 

1) Make one thread and just post all your video's as they come out in it. Pro's is easier for everyone to track and catch all your video's here as they can just follow a single thread and see when it updates. Con's is the thread would likely get huge making it hard to find older posts in that thread.

 

2) You make a new thread for every video. Pro's is everyone can see the video in the first post, con's is they could miss new forum threads cause they can't follow it until it shows up and it could get buried on the second page before most people see it.

 

Of course use the blog as well, but you have two choices on how to use the forum. I was merely pointing that out and the pro's and con's of each way of doing it.

 

On a side note, have you considered doing a Let's Play with some of the LL mods installed? I know you would have to rate it as adult on youtube and would still need to censor a lot of it even after that, but if you avoided those situations as much as possible it might not be to bad. Lot of work to edit even more on the video's I am sure. Not to mention you might get a lot of hate from narrow minded people about such video's. So likely not worth the pain and effort to do, but it would be interesting to see a serious lets play using LL mods for skyrim.

I have no idea, but for nudity I know if it is tagged as adult some nudity can be shown. I have seen several such video's, including a Lets Play of Skyrim but occasional nudity was the only adult part of it.

 

I confess I have no clue on the rules of youtube either and what could or could not be done. Or if there is even a place like youtube where such video's could be hosted.

 

Only reason I even bought it up is I seen a recent video where a guy did a lets play of skyrim and made it into a joke. Including a lot of LL mods, which I just found annoying to be honest. So seeing a seriously lets play done where the LL mods where not the focus just something in the background that happens from time to time would be interesting.

Regarding more LL related video, for sure. That's planned. I really do think most of the more advanced stuff in modding actually are here.

You can say, for the sake of perverted stuff, men (and women) reach together to achieve the impossible.

 

Still I have some problems to consider:

1) Not 100% sure, but adult content in youtube just means content kids should not be able to view. Real adult content (porn or nudity) is completely out of the way.

@Shane Using dressed Pc & Npc could be a nice trick... This or using a lot of pixelations, blurs or otherwise straight, big black block with "censored" on them!

 

2) I've have a job, have a family, friends... It is safe to let everyone knows that I'm indulging in forcing young girls into prostitution, slavery, and gangraping by armored undead? Mmmmmhhhh  

 

3) I don't know how good I'm a gameplay. English It's not my mother language. And even in my language I don't know how interesting my live comments would be!

Still I'm confident this would improve a lot with trials and errors. And I could do a sort of "edited" gameplay... Not just playing and recording.

 

Anyway... i was thinking to cover some LL mods which are not strictly sexual and add gameplay innovation. Submit is a good example of that.

First no worries I wasn't as clear in my first post as I wanted to be anyways. I assume you can mod the first post and just change the link to the latest video perhaps.

 

1) I don't know either but I have seen several video's with the marked for adult having game nudity in them. I don't know if they never got reported or if nudity is allowed as long as it is adult. I have a youtube account for watching and commenting but never looked into the rules for posting video's so don't know for sure.

 

2) Depends on the family and friends but yeah I could see it. Could also make a new account just for that, one that no one in real life knows about. Or just find another host site that allows it, I imagine there has to be other sites like youtube that allows user posted content of a mature nature out there somewhere that is free.

 

3) Well speaking while playing would be a way to practice and perfect your English. I do agree you might be better off playing it, recording it and then doing a voice over talking as if you was playing even if you wasn't if you know what I mean.

 

Always a plus though I am sure you will still get hate comments from prudes who attack anything they don't approve of even if you don't show any of the adult aspects of the mods. But yes there is plenty of non adult mods here too that are well done, though most of them can also be found on nexus.

I seen you posted up a new video for the first time in awhile on your youtube channel. Was nice to see. So planning on doing more mods and perhaps a lets play still?

 

After going back and watching the rest of your video's I think your english is more than easy enough to understand. Every 2-3 video's there was a moment where it was a bit hard to understand but I think that is pretty good for it not being your native language. Plus as you do more you will keep improving anyways.

Actually I'm uploading another video... (very easy and simple one. Realistic Boat Bobbing... but I'm hoping it will go on the nexus hotfiles with my video! eheheh).

Tomorrow I'll do some more "advertising" of the videos... both here and on the Nexus.

I've changed a lot of stuff with this last video. 

I've installed a new ENB (my old set up was good for playing but a bit too washed out for the videos)

I've changed the editing software...

And now I'm going to upgrade sexlab to 1.5. It's been a busy holiday!

Yep that was me and likely I am the only one. The only place I have ever seen that nickname taken was on Steam and that is cause a ratbasatard friend of mine used it cause all of his favorites where taken before I started using steam. Other than that, as far as I know everywhere else if you see nutluck it is me. It is a pretty unique nickname, which was my RL nickname for a about a year. longish story.

 

Yeah I know Gopher especially uses ENB's and some mods because of how it looks in the video and not other ones cause it makes things not look good in video's.

 

Though both he and Lady Lexy both swear by hardware capture, though I imagine that is a lot more expensive. But you are just starting out and for that you are doing fine.

 

My biggest piece of advice I can give is, don't have lulls in content. You want to get people in the habit of checking your channel often for content. Keep to a regular schedule. If you can only do one video a week thats fine but always put it up on the same day. Then if you get more time you can do them more often.

 

The reason i say this, is it is very important to get people into the habit of constantly checking your channel. If you are sporadic or worse have large lulls, people will forget to check and then eventually just stop checking and you lose followers. The one thing I noticed is all the more successfull youtubers all either put stuff out on the same day or every 3 days or something like that.
