using a .nif from outside the game?

I want to use a model of a battery or core to replace the look of a black soul gem. I'm having some trouble getting the game to acknowlege it. 

The specific error is "Marker error 0"

 

I have a normal map in the textures but I'm not sure where in Nifscope to add it. Also I have the nif linked with the texture. It shows in Nifscope but just wont load into Skyrim. I'm sure I'm having an easy problem (easy for someone more experienced that is). 

 

Included is the mod. The object, 000CoreDevice01  located in cell 000XenicTestingRoom

 

The actual files are in data>meshes>Dwemerfy  

and data>textures>Dwemerfy 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The CK (and Skyrim) can't handle the NiMaterialProperty. You have to delete that branch and import from another working Nif file with the correct properties. I can make that file working in about 1 hour when I arrive home.

 

But I advise you to google about 3ds/blender export to Skyrim via Nifskope, that is a very easy step.

 

Either way you'll have the file working soon  ;)
