Skyrim launch issue

So, a couple days ago my whole computer froze while I was playing Skyrim. After rebooting my computer I tried launching Skyrim with SKSE and nothing happened.. or so I thought. It took around 10 minutes for it to actually try and launch ONLY to crash INSTANTLY giving me the horrible "Skyrim has stopped responding" I've tried validating game cache on steam. I've tried reinstalling SKSE. None of these things helped. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a solution to this strange problem or if anyone has any ideas that could potentially help? Thank you

back up your game ini in my documents and delete the file skyrim.ini and the other skyrimprev.ini and laucnh skyrim from steam application go into option and check your settings there option screen, it should reinitialize your skyrim video settings and load your game without skse first.

if it works load through SKSE and see if this fixes it.

Sounds to me like the freeze broke your skyrim settings. especially the video settings. And when you reinstalled did you also delete skyrim folder in my documents where your save games are stored ??

Posting here because it's more appropriate:

Does skyrim run without SKSE?

If so then it's just an SKSE install discrepency by probably not having the latest Microsoft 32 bit libraries and/or installing SKSE incorrectly.

If skyrim itself doesn't startup correctly then it's an install error, fully re-install skyrim again and update your graphics card drivers.

Skyrim can launch without SKSE but it does still crash half way through loading up a new game (Deactivated all the mods)

Your a bit contradictory here...

I believe you said somewhere (either here or in the adults section one) that you were running with just SKSE and skyrim and nothing else.

If your running mods it's a whole 'nother matter entirely and obviously will require much more information. Like which saves are you loading (modded saves or are you trying to start a new game)

Also, since you stated skyrim launches correctly but crashes midway through loading a save, it means that it should also create a papyrus log, which should be uploaded here for further debugging (try using pastebin or at least copy the contents of the log file under a spoiler or something)

So, I moved the Data folder onto my desktop and deleted the Skyrim folder and reinstalled Skyrim. I can now actually load up a new save on Skyrim via steam launcher. Should I move the data folder back into the new Skyrim folder or should I safely reinstall everything?

Here's MO, a useful tool that will prevent this from happening ever again (mostly anyways)

It's better to re-install mods with this thing.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334/?

Here's the guides for how to use it:

Don't get put off with the slight learning curve for this tool, it'll save you a bunch more heartache down the road when next you blow up your skyrim install.
