Any area where is a lot of sex the PC or a NPC begins to spawn the mushroom monsters.

This is getting annoying. What is causing this and how do I stop it?

Sorry Donkey. I learned my lesson now. I felt dumb after reading the read me. It was right there in Black & White.

On a side note, I a HUGE fan of your mods

There needs to be a mandatory FAQ on this kind of thing. Maybe there should be a feature where new members (when they open up the reply/new thread screen) would get a message making sure they've searched the forums for the solution.

Also, one other thing. I always get so annoyed by this but, YOU PEOPLE NEED TO POST IN THE RIGHT FORUM SECTION. You have a problem with the mod? find the right thread or post in the TECHNICAL SUPPORT subsections. First of you should search AS HARD AS YOU CAN and then if you are completely confident that the problem hasn't been addressed (which it most likely has) THEN you can post ONLY if you can't find the mod's original thread.

SERIOUSLY! D:<

I know you old timers have been here quite a while, but, us new people have one hard time trying to find anything on Lovers Lab--until we get used to it.

For example: 'Lovers with PK'. If you click on that topic in the forum you don't realize that there might be something new under Technical Support or Downloads. (Downloads have discussions going on in them all the time--and anyone new would think that 'downloads' is just where you download the mod.)

Don't you old folks remember being new at a web site when the world wide web first started?

PS: I've been here a while now and I've looked around several times and I still can't find where I have to click to put my avatar.

Wow. And here I was thinking the Lovers community was better than TESNexus. Guess I was wrong.

Sir' date=' I'd really like to hear your reasoning behind that statement.

I see your point. If I was a mod/admin, I'd definitely change a bunch of these titles to make them less vague. Look, I'm not particularly "mad" at the new people here for doing something wrong or not knowing something "vital", I mean, they can't help it. But I just think it would be common sense as an adult to read the readme, search around the forums, try to find the corresponding forum page for the mod, and think before posting. Because excessive posting bogs down the server and (as we've seen) pisses people off.

So please, THINK PEOPLE! :)

The first time someone started a new thread to ask about this problem, everyone was cool. We pointed him to the readme and told him to turn off the mod, and that was that. Over a dozen new threads asking about the same topic, and those of us who answer questions start to wonder why we bother answering if no one will read them once the thread's off the first page. I love helping people who have problems that I've never seen before, but after I've given the same answer more than twice, I'm gonna start linking people to one of my other posts in lieu of typing shit out again. Telling someone to read the readme is exactly the same thing. If you go to a linux forum and ask them about something that's covered in the man page, the first question is gonna be "did you read the man page?" Expecting people to do work for themselves before asking someone else to do work for them is not elitism, and it's not rude.

Click next to your name at the top of the page to get a dropdown menu. Click on "User CP" (for user control panel), then click on "Change Avatar" in the left sidebar. You can upload one or link directly to an image from there.

Well if you are like me' date=' and have to answer this very same question 1000 + not even counting how many times on the old Wolflore, Then i really wished i never translated any mods and released them to public.

It's not that i am being unfriendly here. but if the main download page says:

Also this mod will sometimes spawn, creature like mushroom or starfish if you don't like that disable this plug-in and move on.
http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=190&pid=2378#pid2378

also the included readme

And you still have to answer the same thing over and over again do your math..

Exactly, back then there were less then 5,000 members here (with only about 30 of them active), and since the site was very new back then (LL is still less than a year old) we were more cool about this kind of thing.

But now we're approaching 30,000 members and it's pretty annoying to see half of the users (that actually post) make these kinds of threads when a README and the SEARCH BAR are right there at one's disposal.

Staying on the mushroom topic I had a similar problem myself once. After sex my PC got strange parasite-like thingies on her breasts and vagi. However, I managed to figure out myself what was the problem by deactivating mods one by one and only then have I noticed that Lovers Creatures Extender caused that :P.

And getting back off topic, when I had started reading the "request thread" on LL some months ago I was like "oh wow...how cool, all of those mods in one place!", but later noticed that different people ask about the same mod numerous times, especially when it has been stated by the author of the particular mod (sometimes on the screeny even ;]) that he/she will never release the mod. I know it takes A LOT of time to read through the whole thread, but sometimes it's just mandatory to post a reasonable statement / question / comment later on :).

Well, I do spend a good deal of time rolling through trying to save lost souls who can't seem to even read the entirety of the OP where they downloaded the mod. :(

What I have noticed is their post count tends to be in the 1 thru 10 range. I tend to go really easy on those folks as they have just discovered the site and aren't familiar with the lay of the land.

For those with post counts 40 and up, I tend to borrow the purple dildo bat from Saints 3 to hit them as they just have no excuse for ignoring the search command. Hell, even if they can't find the Lovers Lab one use goggle for crying out loud and type "lovers lab" followed by what you are searching for! :)

The best way I've found to avoid this situation, is to read 'all' of the thread of the OP, then hunt-down, and read all threads even remotely related to it. (Particularly things related to the load order.) That can be a lot of reading, and most people are not that patient. I then read the readme about 5 times to commit everything to memory, then I have the readme open, and go step-by-step down the readme, while I install everything.

I am likely to have some questions here soon. Hope people do not jump on me about "readme" files when the time comes. SOme of the mods Ive grabbed from here do not mention how they interact with others just how to install themselves. This leads to 2-3 mods replacing the same file repeatedly.

Sorry, but that isn't an excuse. Every mod you download from here has a description and page after page of questions and answers. Never download and install a mod pack unless you fully know what is in it. This problem here was addressed MANY times on the lovers creature extender thread and there is no excuse to make a new thread or even re-post the question or problem as it has been asked and solved before. You HAVE to read the readme, read the OP, and read the thread for the problems that users post on the thread. If the thread is too big or you don't want to read through the pages, use the search bar. Type in key words like "mushroom" for example.

As you can see, we all have plenty of resources at our disposal when we have some sort of problem or question on a mod. End of story.

You know, come to think of it, Creatures Extender would be a lot less annoying if it only spawned male mushrooms after sex and kept them in the creature faction.

With the extender enabled, male mushrooms despawn after raping someone and as an added bonus they would spread the mushroom parasite. Use it with the mod that adds semen potions that cure it and you could end up with some interesting scenarios and the mod would be far less... useless and annoying.

That and you wouldn't have people new to the lovers mods complaining about the 300 mushrooms cluttering up the imperial city. It's a win-win situation :D

if they read the readme, like they suppose to, newbies or veteran there is no reason to even complain. but since this thread already surfed it's purose the moderators can lock it.
