--Bastid-- Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Been browsing the Loverlab site for awhile now. Also been poking around in Blender. I was directed to this site from a fella Nexus Member, and the mods in here are well done. I love how some mods get booted off the Nexus and show up here. Nexus got some weird rules, when it comes to what mods should stay and what mods need to go. Some of these created Framework mods are genius. I wish more games had them. which brings me to the title. I would love to see a framework built for all the Mass Effect games the MEexplorer tool is not at all user friendly and it takes a good amount of modding experience to run this tool correctly. Is the Mass Effects scripting that complicated to use to make mods for the game? The Mass Effects have a great lore to them IMO, and the only thing missing for the games are the great loveslab mods. The loverlab version of Skyrim mods is top notch. So many great mods in the Skyrim section. Here's Hoping Cheers
myuhinny Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 So many great mods in the oblivion and fallout sections as well. It usually takes people awhile to get things working correctly frameworks and things like that. Not sure if there are many if any working on any of the ME games.
Sweatington Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I didn't even know the ME series were modable ;o
jxm Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I would burry these hopes. If the ME-Series was moddable (any of them) we would see a lot more things. The only "mods" I ever saw were little things like clothing-mods, and even those were very, very limited. But I agree, it is really a pity. Though rather than have a mod that has Shepard fuck with Wrex I would have liked some mods totally renweing medicore part 2 and fully annihilate part 3, especially certain parts towards the end. Hell, the I-Net would be crowded with "Better ME3 Ending"- Mods!

Although I question their judgement in not allowing ME (and DA2) to be as moddable as DA;O
--Bastid-- Posted March 18, 2014 Author Posted March 18, 2014 Well there is no mod manager for Mass Effect, or a framework but there are a few tools used for modding it: http://sourceforge.net/projects/me3explorer/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/me3cmm/?source=recommended http://sourceforge.net/projects/texplorer/?source=recommended A couple of Mass Effect 3 mods http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/? But I was more interested in this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/170/?

Although I question their judgement in not allowing ME (and DA2) to be as moddable as DA;O Well, I actually boycott the series. Not so much to hurt Bioware/EA, which is of course pointless (though I originally when ME3 was out had planned to overcome my aversion to DLCs and online-buying, by buying all DLCS for ME2 and 3 and make a complete MEGA-playthrough through the entire series ... a plan that crumbled to dust after I experienced this abysmal ending...). It is more a matter of "personal honour" now to me. I really haven't touched anything ME-related since I played trough ME3 shortly after its release... And not to forget: I am NOT planning in purchasing ME4. I really do not care about this game. Or what "story" i t wants to tell. I swore to myself I would buy this game only in the case it totally negates/rectifies/retcons the stupidity ME3 ended with. Then, only then ME4 would be a game worth buying... But of course I am not a total fanatic, my personal "boycott" is only for the ME-series. Dragon Age Inquisition, well, I guess that's a sure thing to buy for me, but then I even accepted DA2...at least it didn't have a stupid asshole of a character that totally nullified the whole world and purpose of the series... Rant over.
