PerfectionX Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I'm not sure exactly what caused this, but while I was creating a new Female Character and changing her Skin Tone, her face's tone changed, but from the neck down, it didn't. Is this normal? Can it be fixed?
CoxcombCornking Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Yeah. This mismatch issue is grief. I've always used FO3Edit to "Master Update" my load order. In particular, any mods with newly created NPCs. The only remedy to work for me. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/637/? This is easy to use. Read instructions.
Guest luthienanarion Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 New NPCs records must be in an ESM in order for the skin tones to match. Do so manually for your plugin, not by using the MasterUpdate feature of *Edit (which should never be used).

Guest endgameaddiction Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 PerfectionX Need a bit more explaining here. Where did you install the body replacer at? Is it in a custom folder? If so, it sounds like you are missing the femaleupperbody.egt which is used to change the skin tone with the slider for that particular .nif. I know from self experience. Read this here. Had to learn the hard way. Just ignore the nifskope part. I actually never checked to confirm that since it's not actually needed. Edit: Another example is Daughter of Ares. the .egt was removed on the head body and hands so that the artificial skin tone cannot be changed.
