xxsleepyxx Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Why will jff not save angular motor constraints? I click ok after selecting motor and dampening value etc. but when i open it again it just is back to no motor.
blabba Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Did you do save as and overwrite the original xml? Did you run JFF as administrator? Did you overwrite/edit the xml file OUTSIDE of the Windows program folder and then replace the original xml inside your skyrim install path? Did you check that the xml was not marked readme only. (Right click file properties) Another test for you to try to make sure it's a JFF problem, try making a new xml (just click add and create two new dummy objects, then switch over to the constraints tab and try adding the angular motors and finally save and re-open to check that the file was made correctly) And finally if all above fails, you can manually edit the settings via notepad or whatever text editor.
xxsleepyxx Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 im running as admin, and i dont have to save, it resets in the same session as soon as i click ok.

Yea, that's definitely not supposed to happen, check the file for readme status, but I have a feeling your jff install is corrupt or your missing some microsoft libraries or some other incompatibility issue. Regardless, probably the fastest and easiest way for you is to text edit.
kerithuo Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/628-hdthavokmodifier-just-for-fun-jff-v4/ Download the updated exe and replace the old one with it. Change log states: hkpGenericConstraint: bug fix: linear limits lost sometime. bug fix: angular motors lost. add: linear friction and angular friction(the max friction impulse) Good luck finding clearer instructions here lol
Trystanwolf Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I just ran into this problem myself. Didn't realize that smaller file was an updated exe. I just d/ld the big one thinking it was all up to date.
