Besty Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 So a couple of days back my hard drive that my Skyrim data was saved on crapped out, basically lost all my mods and all the rest of it. As I'm not really sure what mods I had running before the drive died, I have no idea where to start out as far as re-modding my Skyrim. So, I'd like to ask your guy's help on getting myself set up for an awesome setup, feel free to let me know what your favourite mods are, I have no real preference to non/perverted mods (that's how I got here of course) so don't be afraid to link whatever you like! I have a pretty beefy system, so if you're running any high demanding ENBs or the like, I'll gladly take a look. Thanks in advance! PS - I don't own any of the expansions. -My system for those who may wonder
gvman3670 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I can't really suggest any mods for you. But I can suggest you start using Mod Organizer (it's freakin' AWESOME!) and that you read this thread and follow the suggestion in it. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/26468-guide-want-a-ctd-free-and-blistering-fast-skyrim-game-here-you-go/ Follow this guide before you even start adding mods to build a solid platform fist. This way you can have a fast, stable, smooth, trouble-free game and you'll never need to reinstall Skyrim again (barring any hardware issues of course).

gvman3670 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 You're welcome. I've followed that guide and switched to using MO after a fresh install and I have two characters right now (MO allows multiple profiles with seperate game saves) that each have over 100 hours of game play. And this is the most stable I've ever seen Skyrim. I didn't think it possible.
dje34 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Use BOSS and MO and avoid mods having dirty edits or clean them with TESVedit. Oh ! And avoid ENBs too, FPS drop for sure.
...0... Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Guide is very good but its not absolute that you need to follow that, but if its handy for you do so NMM and without CK and some other suggestions you can have stable system also my system is stable for months now. Most importend is look at some guides by experts watch videos or follow guide gvman say whatever you feel good with. But real importance are SKSE-BOSS-TES5EDIT and MEMORY patch eather SKSE 1.7 alpha or if 1.6 version use SSME(realy importend makes game most stable) Use performance ENB and lite texture packs with your system. Take skyrim2k HD texture for better looks and more efficient(don't forget to remove bethesda HD pack no need for double textures ) then bethesda HD pack. Just suggestions nothing more Good luck
