dje34 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I've tried a bunch and there isn't a single ENB out there that doesn't sap your machine's performance. I am on a low end system so I can REALLY see the effects on performance. It's drastic! It's why I will just continue to use ICBIN ENB. And it's adjust on the fly is super, super handy. I've found it convenient when all of a sudden a cave is pitch black or it's too dark/bright for a cool screenshot I see. I just open Imaginator and adjust it on the spot. I should give it a try ! The thing is the guy is using CoT for having a real weather system and cool colors and this mod (I do think it is this one) fucked up my game (yes, sir !) when I installed it on a previous install. But I will give ICBINENB its chance without using CoT because I really don't like all the ENBs I've tried, when it's not FPS drop it's awful colors and when it's not awful colors it's FPS drop. Fuck ENBs ! Yes, yes I said it !
Rayblue Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 ^ I think you could be having a PC that's lower than low-spec. Grab SweetFX 1.5.1 instead and start saving up for a better PC.

Lolz I'm already saving up for a 1 month trip in Canada so I think my PC will have to w8. Thanks 4 the SweetFX thing, I read it's working with x32 but is it also working with x64 ? And as I saw it's better on games using cel-shading process, right ? Maybe I will use it on my old BL2 and Dishonored too ^^ !
Rayblue Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Yes, it'll work with 64-bit Windows. If you need further stability, get SKSE 1.6.16 and SSME to stabilize the game and manage memory. BTW, this SweetFX preset will go perfectly: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48554/?

Guest endgameaddiction Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I used to use Zoners performance ENB simply because I've been a fan of his ENB presets since Fallout.

Fortevn Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Anyone using Can't Believe it's not an ENB can share your settings? I don't know why but whichever ENB I tried I always got this... excessive brightness. Inside the house it can be very red due to the fire, and the radius of the fire is too small it makes corners pitch dark. Outside, the Sun is just too bright. I'm messing around in Imaginator Config but still can't get the "promised beautiful world". Pls help

And NonENB is using SweetFX, not ENBseries...
gvman3670 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 It depends what you're looking for. You've got over a dozen sliders to tweak the appearance with. I use a little Nice Overall Enhancement, just a click of Cool Midnight, turn the sky and sun down, then adjust brightness as needed and add a little desaturation. But that could change at any time. Sometimes I just mess with it to see what I can make it look like.
gvman3670 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 These are with settings I found just messing around with the sliders. Play with it and have fun.
Fortevn Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Yeah I installed everything he recommended. Not sure what's needed to do. Right now I'm just sliding Contrast and Saturation to get a good light. Thx for your help.

Thx for your help. becareful of the recommended settings, i had a very bad looking mountians when i used it. they came from teh -10 sky setting. example http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g221/Jeffreylane/2014-03-13_00005_zpsaa32d51f.jpg changing the mentioned setting fixes it.
gvman3670 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Yeah, I had weird mountains at first, too. A couple little tweaks and it was all good again.
gvman3670 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 If I opened Skyrim in windowed mode maybe. I don't remember them off the top of my head!
Jeffrey Lane Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 lol i never looked for one. was trying some other enbs and havent put everything back yet. but using the outlined mods on the i cant belive its not enb page for Imaginator, i use their settings, except for 2 so far, the sky setting is -10, i use 0 or -1 at most. and Saturation.. mine is usually between 50 and 100, 75 to be safe. I really like the brighter colors after playing with vanilla SKyrim for so long. it's really something ya gotta play around with. find the settings you like the best. so you can make this into this (no great feat, but it's one of my favorite spots visually) oh and only other visual mod in that is Real Lighting Overhaul. Outside pic, with updated settings

Fortevn Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Ok here is my problem: the world is fine but the rooms are... weird. It's too hot, too red and I don't know what to do with it. Most of settings I found works wonders outside but hurts my eyes when I'm in a cave, or a room Inside Outside Any help? increasing Saturation would be overkill, I don't know how would someone get it to 70-100 and can still see :| Maybe it's my graphic card?
