Surprised there isn't a topic for this already, since it's been the talk of the chans for quite some time. Anyway, it's just been released and is entire;y free. It's a standard VN style H game, based in a high school for disabled kids. The title translates as 'Cripples Girls', but despite the crass name it's actually pretty wonderful. Much heavier on story than sex scenes (in a similar vein to Family Project, if anyone's played that), and better written to anything else I've played before.

It's not. It's thoughtfully and tastefully written, played straight all the way through. It's not a VN for you unless you're into the serious side of the genre, but what it does is done very well.

Gonna give it a try, I like to play visual novels from time to time and since almost all I played had good story (Well don't even think Japanese people are able to make bad stories :P And judging by opinion is net and my friend who is bugging me to play this it should be worth the time (this will probably delay translating Margarete Lena a bit :P )

I didn't finish it yet but somehow I picked Emi path.... I think I will leave Hanako path as the last one sice it's the best one from what I've heard

So far I've done Hanako and Lilly, working on Emi. Most of /a/ is saying Lilly's is the best, though there's a lot of love or Hanako's and Rin's too (the writing on Rin's is meant to be particularly good). Lilly is my personal favourite so far.

Hmm just finished Emi path after 7hours and got...bad ending.

And from I read it's one of the hardest to get lol.

Seems like my "cold " personality manifest even in games :P

Still Emi was kinda sluty :P

 

Hmm playthrough number 2...

Got drunk with Kenji on the Rooftop and...died

I played through emi's route and got the good ending, and then replayed to bad.

 

Currently on rin's route and..... to say that her bad endings are soul crushing would be an understatement.

I don't think I'm going to do all the bad ends. I'm not a 100% completionist kind of guy, and the storylines are usually depressing enough as it is.

Well for now finished Emi (bad/good) > Death > Shizune (Bad/good ) and currently on Rin Arc somehow :D

 

Btw I must admit Kenji is kinda interesting person. At first he seems to be wacko with obsession about female conspiracy.

 

But at the Rooftop ending he seems to be much more "deep " and hurted character

Also when he talk with player at Shizune arc (but that's just a few lines before he turn's into "crazy Kenji " :D

Currently going through Emi's route even though I was aiming for Hanako. I haven't enjoyed a visual novel this much since I played Ever17. And I agree with you Han, Kenji is pretty interesting.

 

Also, somebody vote the thread 5 stars please, I accidentally voted it 2 :s

I've played through them all, my favorite characters are Hanako, Lilly, and Emi. As for witch story is the best, I'm not too sure. They are all the "Best" in different regards. It just depends on your taste of story really. I might lean in favor of Hanako just because she is my favorite character. I found her good end both extremely sad but touching at the same time, the bad end if anything a little bit sad, and the worst ending was pretty shocking to me.

 

Shizune's Dad kind of ruined her ark for me, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have. I don't know if it was just a joke I didn't find funny, but it put me off enough to lower her story on my list of favorite characters. :-P

 

Overall it is a very touching game, I have been following KS for a long time, and I am really glad it turned out to be such a good VN. At least in my opinion.

I've only done the Hanako route so far, and have started the Lilly one, and just want to says thanks for posting this. I collect visual novels, and it would have been a crime to miss this one.

 

I actually haven't found the Hanako route all that sad, since there is hope for the future. Want depressing? Most of the futures in Clannad. Ugh.

Just finished Rin paths (Bad/Neutral/Good ) and must say that so far she is the best writen character (finished Emi/Shizine ) now I don't know If I should go with Hanako path or Lily...

Well just finished Hanako path (neutral/good )saw the bad on in net and...not sure what is this fuss about ? People write "Omg best path ! " so touchy I was crying ! "

But so far I think Emi/Rin bad/good ending was much more "deep " and touchy than Hanako path, at first I tought she might be the best writen character but with time she got predictable.

So Good/Neutral ending was no surprise for me and bad ending was...erm kinda creepy and weird but not sad or anything.

 

Now only Lily path left hoping it will be better than Hanako :P

I played this game quite intensively, and it's was pretty much my first H-game novel type thing.

The writing is indeed pretty deep and I have to agree with HanPL, Rin is the best character and the best path because it's so atypical but still manages to stay logical.

The game in its ensemble is pretty good too and after I got bad ending with Lilly, I just had to follow up right after with the good one. It was too sad.

 

Globally, I'd rank the paths like this :

Rin > Shinzune (for the "twist") > Lilly > Hanako > Emi (I didn't really like the girl, and I was so disappointed that there wasn't a MILF path with Emi's mother.)

 

The fact that it was an English-native game (if this makes any sense) might be why it's so good from a writing point of view, since they don't fall in Japanese stereotypes. At least, that's what I felt.
