Nvse Extender version v0?

I am trying to install a mod called sexoutsex or the lite either one in fallout New Vegas and i followed all the steps provided and downloaded all of the nessesary files atleast i thought to run the program smoothly, however, the file i am having trouble with is NVSE Extender  I have the latest version and have tried fomm and manual installation and it still gives me this message "sexoutsex requires NVSE extender V11 you have V0"  i assume that means that its simply not returning a value when it searches for the software but why? iv followed every instruction in the readme file as well as those posted by the auther of the mod. It tells me to type "GetNVSEVersion"   in the readme file and that it should return a value of "1" well im guessing its outdated because myne has returned a value of 2 wich i means that i have the correct version given that NVSE extender scripts are supposedly backwards compatible....so there you have it , if anyone can help me with this issue it would be greatly appreciated i can find nothing in the forumn or in troubleshooting literature or all the above even mentioning this problem.

thank you for your reply, but i think i have a lead to the issue. im missing the two dll files for my plugin folder there not in eiher of those downloads Nvse_extender.dll and Nvse_extender_ng.dll for the 12+ for some reason there not included in the download . i thought that unpacking it would allow me to see if those files where there and using fomm to install them but when i check the plugins folder there not there and its a fomod file so i cant unpack it to look at the folders containing files. is there anyway that i can get a copy of 12+ thats not a fomod so i can unpack and install in manually or is it possible for me to just get those .dll files individually ?

Don't unpack the fomod.

In FOMM select 'Add FOMOD' button in Package Manager. Once it is into Package Manager it can be installed successfully.

The way you are doing it is more or less guaranteed to fail, due to a quirk in FOMM that others who are more awake can explain much better than I can at the moment :sleepy:

the current file here has the correct files and they are there. There must be some error on your part in the installation. Pride Slayer has packed it up this way to make sure that it gets installed correctly. In case you are wondering I just downloaded the file and followed the instructions on the OP on how to extract and install the files. (I haven't installed them but checked them) It is in the spoiler. Yes it is a vague instruction. I imagine that is to prevent those that don't understand what to do from making terrible mistakes. Also there are many ways to extract the folder as well.

IN the OP it states that you need Prides Custom FOMM to install the files. IN the past it has been alleged that there is an issue installing it using the Official FOMM. Try using the his FOMM.

Using his FOMM and installing the current version of the Extender makes it all but impossible to screw up the installation into a legally owned Fallout New Vegas game.
