ratrace Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 View File (Sorry for the lack of good screenshots, I will make some more - I concentrated on the work and to get the stuff uploaded as soon as I could) Prerequisites: - Skyrim with all DLCs or Skyrim Legendary Edition - All Unofficial Patches (links in the "credits"-section - just scroll down) - The Race Compatibility framework by TMPHoenix: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24168/? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the HDT UNP TBBP body: SKSE 1.7.0: http://skse.silverlock.org/ The HDT physics system (I use 14.28): http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/840-hdt-physics-extension-v1428-latest/ a nice XML to give you a realistic jiggle - I used the "Loremonger - no collision" version: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54044/? a skeleton that supports HDT - I recommend: http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/676-xp32-maximum-skeleton-extended/ FNIS of course: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11811/? and you need (T)BBP-enabled animations. I use: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35035/? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you need further info on HDT: http://www.loverslab.com/forum/52-hdt-physics-extension/ All the body styles in the Half Orc Race mod are compatible with this setup, though only UNP HDT TBBP is optimized for it and won't run on a "normal" (T)BBP installation. All other bodies should run on without the HDT Physics system as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HIGHLY recommended: Race Menu, version 2.7.2 or higher: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624/? vwr Neck Seam Fix http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50329/? That mod adds an overlay you can pick in RaceMenus overlay section with which you can fine-tune colour mismatches in case you have any. Remember that, depending on different lighting mods and setups there MAY occur colour neck seams (NOT gaps). This useful gem takes care of that. In my game, it eliminated neck colour problems almost to zero, and in combination with the Navetsea UNP Seamless textures (which I packed as optionals and also merged parts of them into the included Lunari textures in the neck areas) it really looks great. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation: 1.: After having taken care of the prerequisites, install the main mod first. It comes with the standard UNP body - no breast or butt physics included, just pure UNP. If you don't want different body styles or textures, you're good to go. 2.: If however you want to pick a different body choose one and install it over the main file - just overwrite. 3.: If you want, you can choose one of the optional texture packs to replace the one included in the main file. Choose one and install last. Annotations to the Addons: - All bodies except for the UNP HDT TBBP body should work in a normal (T)BBP environment (which means (T)BBP-enabled skeleton / animations and FNIS) - The CBBE bodies come with the original CBBE textures. But I have included an addon in the CBBE archive that contains the Lunari textures. - In case of Dream Girl, you must install the Standard Dream Girl Standard body for this race first (included in the Dream Girl archive) and after that the optional addon you wish to use. - The custom Dream Girl body has the same heavy body, but the light body has smaller hips and breasts. So the range is wider than the original, but not towards a bigger, but more petite appearance. You can still use the Dream Girl armour without a problem, because the change is subtle enough. - The UNP Skinny TBBP is still a bit experimental. It works, but still needs some optimization. - The NMUBS archive contains body, hand and head subsurface maps that eliminate the ugly bronze glow in certain lighting conditions. A link to the original mod is in the credits-section. There you'll find pics that show you what that mod does. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Be "forewarned": I don't aim to meet everyones taste with this mod, but still there are a lot more body styles to choose from in this version of the Half Orc Race compared to its predecessor. I have no overly huge breasted bodies included in any of the optional files that come with this mod because I simply don't want them in my game. Not for any screwed up moral reasons, I simply don't like them. The range from UNP to the more robust UNP Leito body represents quite well how I like girls in Skyrim (and real life). UNPB - (T)BBP and CBBE Classic are the most voluptuous body styles you will ever find here that are included in this mod by myself, and I think that's a good compromise. However, if you want to contribute to the yet underfurnished Russ Meyer department, feel free to create an upload of your own or get in contact with me if you think your Megavixen should be added to the optional files here. No prob. And sorry, I don't support NMM because I will let it touch my game only over my cold dead body. And to be able to give NMM support I would have to install it. I avoid that mod manager (and others that are alike) not because it's Nexus software, but because I want my mod manger to act transparently. I want to know WHICH FILES will be overwritten BEFORE the deed is done. But hey, the installation of this mod is not that hard, and not everything needs to be done with a single click of a button. dje34 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Thank you 4 sharing ! Is it a new race or an overwrite ?
Sarathis Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Thank you 4 sharing ! Is it a new race or an overwrite ? It's a brand new race mixing elements of the Orc race with those from the Lunari. It doesn't overwrite anything as far as I'm aware.
ratrace Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 It's a brand new race mixing elements of the Orc race with those from the Lunari. It doesn't overwrite anything as far as I'm aware. Correct. But it's not brand new, it was on the Nexus for a year or so. But I prefer LL as its new home.
Sarathis Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Correct. But it's not brand new, it was on the Nexus for a year or so. But I prefer LL as its new home. Sorry, I just worded it poorly. I meant to say that the mod is it's own race, not an overwrite of the vanilla orc race or anything like that. I actually got this off of the Nexus about a month ago and have been playing with it. It's a lot of fun and they look awesome. I actually had no idea it added custom Half-orc followers until I bumped into one in Riverwood. Is she the only one or should I be on the look out for more?
ratrace Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 I actually had no idea it added custom Half-orc followers until I bumped into one in Riverwood. Is she the only one or should I be on the look out for more? I only added Dari as a little bonus. Followers are easy to make, as long as you don't want them uniquely voiced or with special powers or so.
Leeeeeroy Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 looks pretty good, but i'll continue with my common orcs, they need a bit of love too
yager74 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 ratrace you are a gentleman and scholar my fav race is back.
Guest Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Half orcs have long been my favourite hybrid race in any rpg and your mod does them the justice they deserve. Huge thanks for sharing again.
Guest Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I've been advertising your work rather heavily round these parts, might even have directed a fair bit of traffic back here, and rightly so. And I confess at least one pic found it's way to Nexus images and caused a small appreciative stir among the natives. Don't worry I didn't cough up my source, it remains another of LL's best kept secrets. But just so you're reminded that your mod makes waves. Here's a token gesture by way of thanks, what I think is a positive mixed race message, that half-breed doesn't mean half as good
Debaster Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Has anyone had luck using this race with ECE or Racemenu? Can't seems to get any extra sliders
kapheen Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 looks amazing! any chance we will be getting a version that replaces vanilla orc females?
Riex Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I would also be interested in a replacer for standard orc females.
ratrace Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 There'll be no more updates on the Replacer and Enhancer for the orcs. However, who wants the old versions which were hosted on the Nexus can get them here: http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/605-orc-race-replacers/ OK, I updated them a bit. Fixed some UNP issues. More in the link above.
ratrace Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 FYI: OK, did the Half Orc Race update yesterday. Still lacks some screenshots, but everything is up so far.
Yukavii Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) Would this work with what I'm currently using? I am using xp32 skeleton and unpb body with the bbp that comes with unpb it works fine for the ningheim race that I just installed, I am using the race compatibility mod. Orcs have always been my favorite race, would I need to reinstall unpb over this if it is compatible? - edit I just installed the main files I was pleasently surprised all of my animations for sheath on back etc are working along with my dual sheath redux, however I did not install any hdt stuff because I am using unpb and I am not sure how the races file paths/structure works with the animations and hdt stuff could I use it only for this race so it doesn't affect unpb? I don't really mind if the animations overwrite unpb I would just like to use the unpb body meshes. Edited July 20, 2014 by Uhkavii
Moxus Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 My Skinn Is Texturless Blue and im missing hands and i'm frozen in a T what's wrong? and I used feneris many times but nothing
Starbrow65 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Just tried this for my XPMSE 2.x custom CBBE Body HDT. After copying my femalebody_x.nifs to the appropriate race folder, everything looks fine ingame indeed. Nice work, thanks a lot.
Shivem Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Trying to make some followers in race menu, but getting the dark foreheads. Normally to fix this I remove the tintmasks folder from the directory till Im all done in the CK. Ive taken them out of both the regular folder and the mods folder, but still no luck. I added hair from apachii and pubes from the painted lady mod in race menu, and made sure the same parts are setup in the CK. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks Edit: Ok fixed the problem. Also can I use SG textures?
