EsternNetherworld Posted Thursday at 06:06 AM Posted Thursday at 06:06 AM Amazing mod, but I have found that it conflicts with common appearance mods and cannot achieve armor damage with appearances. I hope to achieve compatibility with these mods in the future. Those mods are likely patching skyrim memory.
Matt44 Posted Thursday at 07:04 AM Posted Thursday at 07:04 AM Would it be possible a feature to blacklist specific parts of the outfit from being tracked? I would like to have my amulets and armor stay intact but fabric parts like capes and waist cloths break down. A portable item would be neat to repair things too. Keep up the good work though, I've been wanting a mod like this forever now.
Kawall Posted Thursday at 07:16 AM Posted Thursday at 07:16 AM Dude, don’t ever stop playing skyrim, keep modding even 90 yo!
nilead Posted Thursday at 10:48 AM Posted Thursday at 10:48 AM A fantastic development, this could be end all be all for SO MANY other armor damage mods. Question is, does it have to end them all? Armor damage is there as immersion and eye candy two in one, Wich is good enough for us LL folk, but it does more - it stops classic rpg get BIS item early and you're done issue - you won't be able to to support it's maintenance, it's a gold drain Skyrim desperately needs, etc. there are many reasons for why there were so many armor break mods. I wonder if instead of killing the entire infrastructure (and procedural system you're building will do that), it can work with it? Mods like Service Your Gear use vanilla tempering as items health, allowing it to naturally scale with players smithing skills and work with mods like Honed Metal, Equipment Durability System NG provides tempered and enchanted loot, again using vanilla tempering state. Far be it from me to tell a wizard how to cook, and I have little idea of how much pain would it be to use vanilla item health state to drive visual damage instead of your custom system, but it would be most welcome consideration for me and probably many other people here with utterly unreasonably large Skyrim builds, and allow for native integration with perk overhauls, crafting mods and many more. Cheers, and thanks for sharing this
bondfan86 Posted Thursday at 01:22 PM Posted Thursday at 01:22 PM I’ll second that I’d love integration with the wider ecosystem. This looks (mostly, I mean that’s what you get with procedural :D) and plays great, but it completely sidesteps my main prevention from Smithing/Tempering, that they cost time. I use Time Flies and avoid tempering or crafting needlessly, because so much time passes (which matters for survival and other things), and Equipment Degradation forces me to temper to repair armor. But here it’s just gold that I need. I don’t know how it would work, but some integration would be cool.

waiyan Posted Thursday at 04:36 PM Posted Thursday at 04:36 PM Would this kind of mod be possible for fallout 4?
slimbones Posted Thursday at 04:36 PM Posted Thursday at 04:36 PM Wow pretty amazing. Wonder if something like this could work for a partial undress system during sexlab or ostim scenes.
Elizinator Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM seems to work just fine with https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/185342 if transmog compatibility is desired.
jubbabubba Posted Thursday at 08:44 PM Posted Thursday at 08:44 PM how would i make it so that progressive levels of destruction make the armor more and more skimpy? for example, if it breaks the area covering nipples, now the top would be considered topless?

There is a number of ways. 1 - vision based LLM integration, SkyrimNET offers one. It would be quite a task thou. If you mean under considered a keyword-based detection from stuff like Baka keywords or AND - well, again, a custom implementation would be needed. Impressive as this mod is - it just barely came up. Cant expect plugins like that yet, unless you develop one yourself. Even then, probably too early)

Monoman1 is working on this mod that reads all kinds of stats like how tight the armor is, and how much skin is showing depending on the meshes, so if this goes well we may not need keywords at all, and this mod with armor coverage and A.N.D alone will determine skimpy levels, including exposed bits. Mod's not out yet, it's also very early, but could be a game changer if it works out. 1

Relevant Halo Posted Friday at 03:04 AM Posted Friday at 03:04 AM (edited) Cool, so is this removing non skin portions of an armor mesh? If using a bodyslide 'clothed' bodyslide with pushup of squished config, i'm guessing the body portion will still appear that way even after the clothes are removed? Also, would it be possible to make this a spell effect? ie. like the disintegration shader but affecting clothes only? Edited Friday at 03:07 AM by Relevant Halo
IcicleInn Posted Friday at 08:28 AM Posted Friday at 08:28 AM (edited) Would just like to report a minor bug, haven't had a chance to reproduce it but for whatever reason the "unequip and block damaged armor" feature doesn't work. Spoiler Spoiler Edited Friday at 08:28 AM by IcicleInn

In fact if the armor doesn't have the body under it then you just see an invisible spot. Easy fix by adding the body under the armor if you know how to. The harder part if adjusting the outfit to prevent clipping (because the reason the body was removed was for easier clipping management and performance as well).

sky6 Posted Friday at 12:53 PM Posted Friday at 12:53 PM I can verify this works with bladedancer. Great work!
Auplus Posted Friday at 05:00 PM Posted Friday at 05:00 PM can you add support for this to work on the base mesh as well? that way it can reveal the viscera and skeleton if the armour is fully damaged and now the body underneath starts taking hits?
Alex-7902 Posted Friday at 05:52 PM Posted Friday at 05:52 PM Is there a remodel of the original armor that works with this mod?
