boggle8 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 View File Verbena Species Set First mod. Meet the Verbena, a mystical species of latex clad triclops star farers from the tropical-gothic futurism inspired ocean paradise planet. Hot alien chicks and dudes 45 in each of the 4 classes (I admit its leans 40 to 5 for each class in female favor as that's my personal inclination but I tried to throw a bone to those who swang the other way) for a total of 180 unique portraits. Also includes 6 rooms and an AI empire which took me quite a while. Painstakingly created over the past month, a lot of these I drew or collaged by hand and then Img2Img generated with AI to fit the style (and because I suck at art). Wanted to have an AI mod that actually shows the potential and is relatively consistent, instead of either rip cutouts from r34 which don't work together, or the same 2 anime hime cut characters over and over, and give some personality to it all. Enjoy! >can you make compatible with X!? No, I have basically no idea what i'm doing, this is all AI. Thanks to CosmoScylla and the Vampire mod for showing me how to architect a portrait mod. >can you make it fully nude? No I find that unappealing in comparison. Though you can, while I won't reveal the specific AI blends I used, if you use some iteration of NIJI or a NIJI derived checkpoint you can probably inpaint it fairly well. 2002SKYRIMXXX Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I don't understand this VERBENA - install ====================== Extract so the "mod" folder merges into: Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/ Then put your 72 .png files into: mod/Verbena/gfx/models/portraits/verbena/ The exact required filenames are listed in that folder in _REQUIRED_FILENAMES.txt (delete that file afterwards if you like). Names must match exactly, parentheses and capitals included. Before launching, close the launcher and delete: Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/launcher-v2.sqlite The species appears under the HUMANOID tab. Structure (each layer references the next by exact string key): common/portrait_categories/ -> tab. set name: Verbena common/portrait_sets/ -> set. group name: VerbenaPortraits gfx/portraits/portraits/ -> group + texture paths gfx/models/portraits/verbena/ -> your .png files Also, when I do just download this file without doing the readme instructions, a red waring sign appear next to the mod on the playlist in Paradox Launcher v2, and next to that red waring sign it reads "Installation of this mod failed. The path in this mod's descriptor file is invalid or does not exist.

Normally when I install species mods, all that its needed is to open up the archive, copy the folder and mod file and paste it into the mod folder. 1

schroecat Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) This isn't a very difficult problem. All that has happened is that the author forgot to change the "path" to a relative path instead of an absolute path. So after extracting the contents of the .zip file into "documents/paradox interactive/stellaris/mod" you need to locate "Verbena.mod" in the mod folder and edit it using any text editor (microsoft notepad will do fine, notepad++ is better). Then locate the following text: path="C:/Users/<user name>/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod/Verbena" and replace it with: path="mod/Verbena" The red warning sign will then go away and you can load the mod. This problem happens *all the time* with Stellaris mods, and we all need to learn how to resolve it. Edited 3 hours ago by schroecat
