Vegapnk/RJW-Genes - animals not giving much fertilin despite the sliders

i was trying to do a horny dryad colony with animals instead of pawns as a source of fertilin so i cranked up the "Fertilin-gain from animals" slider to max but no matter what, it seems like the slider doesn't change anything to a noticeable degree... are there any fixes for this? maybe a manual def change? i also noticed that eating cum doesn't do anything either..
