AAf v1.61.1b 15% Lockup

So I needed to make a completely fresh install of FO4 on a new computer (long story); And so I grabbed the AAF 1.61.1b installed everything according to the guide here on LL. Had a few hiccups trying to get the 'Discrete Female Skeleton' to work with physics, but that was my bad as I forgot to copy the new skeleton into the separated folder. Anyway, I digress.

 

I can not for the life of me figure out how, or why, AAF gets a 15% lockup no matter what I try. It just will not load. I'm on game version 1.10.163 after doing a version downgrade, installed everything via Vortex, even though I hate the thing, 'cause it's manual sorting is excessively complex, and LOOT is worthless. Anyway, I keep thinking that I'm missing something like 'FORES' or 'Nemesis' but that can't be.

 

Am I missing something? Anyone got any ideas? 'Cause I'm fresh out. Any help/ideas is/are appreciated.

That's a very old version. For example, in that version, AAF creates a clone of your character to use in the animations. In newer versions, they use your actual character.

 

The new version is on Discord and is currently 1.7.2.

And if that's the only place I can get it, then I'm SOL. Because I choose to stay far far away from Discord. Too much malware, and other crap, hosted there. Not to mention the 'mind rot of the social medias'.

Ahh well, thanks for the info. Kinda figures it'd be the AAF version I was able to get a hold of.

Just don't download anything from there except for the newest AAF. Malware issue solved.

 

And socializing can be completely ignored if you aren't interested in that.

Let me put this as bluntly as possible:

 

I WILL NOT USE DISCORD!

 

That is MY choice. As well as a lot of other people's choice. Not everyone want to use the Anti-social medias. Some people want to stay as far away from them as possible. And to even access anything on some of them, like discord, one is required to make an account. And that requires giving Discord information. Information that we DO NOT want to give them.

 

And If your gonna delete every single out of date version, and turn off the comments; Don't leave the only publicly available version, a non-functional version. That's a big 'Fuck you!' to anyone who may need to reacquire the essential mod. And like it or not, computers do need to be replaced sometimes.

 

Why is this all so difficult to understand? Oh that's right. Because 'common sense' has been completely murdered by the brain rot of the social medias. And you wonder why I refuse to use them? Gee... I couldn't imagine.

I've tried many options and given my reasons for hosting decisions ad nauseum. It's a closed issue and not up for debate on my part. Deal with it or simply accept that myself and my work are none of your business.

 

Your arguments for staying away from "Anti-social medias" make zero sense. Especially written on the original form of social media: an internet forum. Do you think the people writing their opinions here are different than the people writing their opinions on Discord?

 

And creating an account? If you are so worried about that, make a protonmail account and use that address. Would take you five minutes and gives up absolutely nothing.

Are you seriously suggesting that if you go to Discord to download AAF it will make you dumber? But, if you download it from somewhere else you will be fine?

Let's examine the facts here.

 

You decided to ask for help with work that I made and provided to the public for free. I personally took the time to read your post and reply with a constructive and true comment.

 

You decided to reply with a "blunt" lecture, criticizing where I choose to distributed my free work.

 

And you accuse ME of being the asshole? You're a funny guy.

 

Like I said, if you choose to be a technology hermit and have weird superstitions, etc. that's fine. As you say, it's your choice. But, then don't turn around and bitch about the things your choices stop you from reaching. After all, it was YOUR choice.
