Imgbox down

Imgbox is down, so the images I’ve hosted there no longer appear on my blogs.

I was wondering if anyone here uses it and if they’re experiencing the same issue?

Yes, I have the same problem.
I am very nervous. I hope the site is back up soon. If not, I will really stop blogging.

I’m a bit relieved to know it’s not just me.

I was worried at first, because I’d been tidying up my external hard drive – I’d deleted all the screenshots to free up some space – and I thought that was the cause.

We’ll just have to wait a bit for Imgbox to get back up and running.

Don't panic too quick. There is neither a statement nor does anyone seam to know what's happenung and they're not the only imagehoster down rn.

Could be anything 🤔 I'll wait  . (No way in Hell will I upload so many chapters again. Damn xD get a headach just thinking about it.)
Just find a shortterm alternative if you got something new to upload and give them a couple more days up to a week maybe.

Personally, I don’t write any more, so I’m not really worried.

I was just a bit worried about losing the images on my blogs.

I’d already lost them on two of my previous blogs through my own fault.

Here's hoping it comes back up. According to some posts on reddit, the site has gone down for short bursts in past years so there's that. Someone also said it was on the same host as a an adult site called Motherless which was shut down earlier this year due to illegal content. Again, this is all from reddit and I've had a difficult time confirming a lot of specifics so take it with a grain of salt.

 

My previous blog is definitely going away if it doesn't come back up. I keep all my finished work on a flash drive so I still have it but I'm prob not gonna take the time to re-upload that stuff.

 

My current blog is only 7 chapters and none are that long so I'll reup that if need be. At any rate I'm still at least a couple weeks from finishing a chapter so I'll wait this out for a bit and see what happens.  🤔

As someone who just got FUCKED by imgbox, this is what I was able to find, ironically given to me by AI:

 

Imgbox is going to close on 30th june - Page 2

 

that's all I got. It's July, so I don't know why this info was posted here on that site, and not on reddit where everybody is.

Personally I think imgbox pulled an exit scam. Even f the site is free, your data is worth money, and they no longer want to pay for the site.

 

A good bit of these image hosting sies have been hit hard.

One thing on reddit I found is that imgbox used the same server motherless used, but motherless just got swatted by the cops overseas somewhere.

Of course, once again, pedos fuck up a good thing, by trying to turn the clearnet into the darkweb. 🙄

This more than likely immediately gott police knocking on imgbox's door.

 

And so who knows wtf is going to happen now. But this is all the dead internet will tell me.

I of course still have my feet pics on my computer and can pos again, but something tells me with the RAM hell currently going on, sites like cat.moe and friends are living on borrowed time before they start shutting down their sites as well.

I just tried using Image Chest, and I fucking hate it. You can't organize your images unless you pay for it. I relied on Imgbox for uploading pics to this site because the image-upload feature here is shit and doesn't allow GIFs. So, now I don't know what the hell I'm going to do.

LL is really the worst option for hosting images.

You're limited, and when you run out of space, you have to delete some.

But if you delete them... your images on LL disappear.

I found that out the hard way...

As a result, I now have two blogs with large sections missing.

And now, Imgbox—which is a fairly reliable option—might be shutting down.

Yes, the question here is whether the owner who is being investigated by the authorities is the same as the owner of Imgbox. If so, I don't have much hope. In any case, if the site does come back, it won't be anytime soon.

If something doesn’t suit them, they’re the first to go and complain to the moderators or the ‘internet police’.

I remember that on YT, their temporary moderators came and blocked my account because I’d posted a slightly risqué Skyrim video, even though there are far worse videos out there.

 

And here in France, it’s even worse.

OK, for anyone wanting to upload images, go to Image Chest. I know that I just said I hate it, but after trying it out a bit more, it’s not that bad. In fact, I was able to fix the images for one of my mods. Also, they do allow NSFW images. Just make sure you tag them accordingly.

The downside is that you can’t organize your images while only using a free account, but you can have 30 images in a single post.

Imgbox updated their site again and now you're able to see more information. So it will return definitely. By the stage of it might happen sooner than I thought it would
