Paradise Halls - Slave Cart by Musje - SE Update

This is an update of @Musje PAH Slave Cart.

 

A few bugs were found when updating to PAH 8.2.2, and since the original mod author has been away and gave me permission to modify the mod for DOM, I took the liberty to update it. A lesser power was added to control the cart with power instead of the wand. 

 

There are two versions available for download:

 

  • 1.0 the original SE version of PAH Slave Cart, compatible with PAH 8.2.2+
  • 1.1 is compatible with DOM 8.2.3+ or PAH 8.2.2+. You'll be asked at install which version you want to use. DOM installer also includes a DOM+PAH patch to be able to load both kind of slaves. in this case it is recommended to install DOM last so that PAH Slave Cart is detected.

 

 

You need to run Pandora or FNIS after update.

 

New in version 1.10:

 

  • Added name tags for passengers, so they can be selected with their display names instead of base names.
  • Passengers getting down the cart now use the back of the cart instead of making a trip to the passenger seat.
  • Added an "Unload all" option to activate cart, to avoid micro managing.
  • Selecting cancel when activating the cart will reposition the passengers.
  • Added a PAHSC Summon cart lesser power. Same as activating the cart, plus you can choose to unload and follow or unload and wait.

Hello! I love your works, but it said " Slave cart alias not filled, this should never happen!" when play with DOM 8.2.3.

Happens when i tell a slave to get into the cart.

When i start a new game i load all my other mode except this one. Wait for them to finish loading. Save then activate this mod. That fixes the error popping up but no menu when clicking on the cart after that. I did notice that i get the PAH horse script starting message when the game starts with this mod but i thought it used to give a cart message also.

If i do everything from the my last edit and disable the slave cart patch from DOM I get the startup message about the cart and the cart menu is there.

That fixes the error popping up but then the slaves don't actually mount the cart they move to the front of the cart where the driver sits and stand right under him and no options when clicking on the cart after that. Did you have the original PAH Slave Cart mod installed before?

I'm not able to get the cart menu either. Initialization is fine and I don't get any errors, I can buy the cart no problem, but when I put a slave in the cart, activating it just makes me start driving it. I also never get the power added automatically, and it doesn't seem to work if I add it via console and try to use it. 

 

I'm on the newest version of DOM, and your latest versions of Slave Cart, HSH, and AYGAS. All of Musje's version were turned off when I tested this and this was also on a new game.  I also let everything initialize for a couple minutes before testing anything. Any ideas?

I removed the original PAH Slave Cart mod and started a new game but nothing changed.

Did you save reload after initialization?

I uninstalled all mods then I did a complete uninstall of the game then went in and manually deleted all the leftover files. Reinstalled game then all mods. When starting a new game I get a message saying the horse script is starting but not the cart script. Its weird because I have gotten it to work a couple of times but when i try to reproduce the steps it doesn't work.

Are you using MO2 or something else?

 

Also DOM or PAH or DOM+PAH?

DOM and not PAH

It might be Vortex playing a trick on you. or I did a wrong packaging.

 

Try to produce a papyrus log file. It should contain the following lines:

Yes, I did. Also to answer some of the questions you were asking the other guy, I tried with PAH + DOM and also just with DOM, new games each time with save + reload first, and I am using MO.

 

I'll try and get a log for you too later today.

Ok, it's my fault there is a left  over script in the DOM installer.

 

Install the PAH Slaver Cart DOM version on top of DOM for the moment. 

I will update DOM later.

I dont have any that start like that for slave cart ... I do for your other mods.

I'm sorry, but still confused. Now I already have DOM 8.2.3a, what should I do  witn PAH_SlaveCart_1.1_DOM_SSE ?  I use MO2.

Just install PAH_SlaveCart_1.1_DOM_SSE after DOM. With MO2 you can right click the mod and ask for information to check overwriting files. There should be none.

Shift The Slavecart mod BELOW the main DOM mod in your MO2 Lefthand Pane.  

 

Check the Cart mod 'Conflicts' column has a (lightning bolt with a green+ symbol).  Also Rt Click the mod entry and check the 'Conflicts' tab to check that the relevant DOM files are being overwritten

 

(Apologies if trying to teach egg sucking but your profile is pretty slim)

Thank you very much for your help! I hadn't asked a question in the discussion forum before (mainly because I was afraid the question was too silly).

After reviewing all the comments, I eventually got this mod working properly. However, it's still necessary to load all mods except SLAVE CART first, enter the game, save, and exit, then load SLAVE CART and enter the game again. I don’t understand why this is necessary, but it’s working fine. Thank you all again for your enthusiastic help.

Hello, I'm having a problem where I can't get them out of the cart. When I click on the cart, no options appear; I just get in and drive it. Could you please help me?

Move PAH Slave cart down the list (MO2) or up the list (Vortex) to make it overwrite other mods.

 

You might also want to try the lesser power "PAHSC Summon cart".

I moved the slave cart down in MO2 and used the "PAHSC Summon cart" ability; options like "unload and follow" appeared, but nothing happens when I click them. They do step out for a second if I wait an hour in-game, but they immediately return to the cart, and I can't interact with them.
