An update on Project JZ and my animation pack

As for the mods being removed from LL, yeah I agree with you, this ultimately hurts the community, but I simply refuse to create content for their framework/mods, not only because all trust has been lost, but because that move was extremely disrespectful, and the author's reaction ((they tried passing it off as trolling) and further actions (like reuploading 0.6.19 on the sly with the code removed) made it clear that they didn't care.

As for a way around all the drama, well, there is! (only for the models currently). Both PalMagic and DynamicPals can handle model replacement perfectly fine. My original plan was to reupload ProjectJZ (now renamed to "PrimalPals" as Jackal and me are no longer the only contributors) when PalMgic was uploaded, buuuut with 1.0 on the horizon I was terrified that might completely break the model pack so I held back... Turns out the pack mostly survived, but a few major issues did arise (some models being completely borked, or needing retexturing, materials changing etc...). Thankfully, I have resolved most of them with only a few final touches and testing left, so it will be uploaded very soon! 

ahhh that makes way more sense.... from what i am reading here is you dont plan on removing you work completely you just dont want this framework since there was some alleged beef between you guys and the creator of SCake got it....

 

well then i have to correct myself since i was wrong about my assumption and want to say sorry for what happened.... malicious code is something you really do not want to have in mods like this ... not only breaks code like this the trust of people but writing something like this shows he has no problems with some day writing other code that may affect unknowing people and thats a real big nono.... 

 

me for example ... i played starbound and looked into coding myself.... never really tried anything just changed some values and looked what happened... so i dont really know HOW to code and therefore would never see something like this... now imagine there is code that does really bad stuff with your data.... as someone like me wouldnt see anything we are completely vurnurable to stuff like this because.... we trust people to not do that.... its sad that this happened.... and maybe in the future you might find another framework to work with or make your own... 

 

and with the 1.0 stuff... timing is perfect actually... since you pulled everything before 1.0 came out.... saw bugs probably try to fix it.... and everything before threads get flooded with these bugs ... kinda ironic .... and funny... anyways i wish you good luck i will keep following this thread here ... and would say i look into the future relatively positive ..... thanks for sharing the picture with me

look, i never spoke in your discord except one time i was confused about which mods i could use and asked.. didnt go into anything, didnt say much, just asked which mods were compatible, kick and ban.

 

and after that lol no im not going to give you my discord ID.

 

the victim complex is much, it may work on people that have never dealt with you, but anyone in these communities knows your behavior. 

your drama, is self created. if you dont like ppl talking about your shit reputation, then try not doing the things that earn that rep.

until then, the community will slowly phase out your tools till they arent needed. that is also the result of your own doings.

well shit happens i guess.... i for example will wait until there is something better out there never came around to playing these mods... but hey... future might be brighter than you think there will always be someone who does something better more accessable... and i am pretty sure the animators would use other frameworks if they were out... pretty sure someone is already trying to take a look at it .... so just stay patient.... and maybe... just maybe in the end stuff may go full circle... doubting  that myself but hey hoping is not illegal  

 

ohh and btw i am almost certain they wouldnt want to hurt the community like that from what i know its the frameworks creator that does not so nice things thats why i am sitting here .... and wait

Would it be possible or desired for you two (or more, whomever feels involved) to talk things out on neutral ground, say your grievances (I've already gathered some from both sides), offer your mutual apologies and move on (slowly) for the better (for everyone involved) from there?

You can even DM me that answer if you don't wish to speak in public, but as a person watching from the sidelines, I don't think this unsolveable with some talking.

It's not gonna happen considering how literally no one is even "attacking" the other party, yet he still feels the need to claim that he's being harassed, bullied, or otherwise playing victim just because someone doesn't blindly agree with him.

 

Reminder that people who so much as ask a troubleshooting question in any other server he doesn't like, end up finding themselves irrevocably axed from his own with no warnings or option to appease it, short of begging or apologizing like you cheated on a partner.

 

The only real option going forward is just a competing framework that achieves the same end result, better or equivalent.

No matter what the truth may be or how people see it, this kind of (assuming bad faith) attitude towards the other party doesn't help things either and will be perceived as an attack on the other party. You might have valid reasons for assuming bad faith, but I imagine both parties have reasons to believe this at this point. At the current course set, with the whole pre-emptively saying "it's not gonna happen", things will continue to provoke and escalate the bad faith assumptions from both parties,

 

If you want to solve things for the better, leave that door open at least. I'm hoping Spirit Shard will also want to see things resolved.

Its better to just let this play out and see what happens, Right now the only audience suffering is the anthro audience which is only because its animations are not being updated right now, everything more or less works for ferals thats been updated within the month and some of T-box's more tamed meshes.

Worst case scenario there are more options of slightly lower compatibility (I've notice arousal ticks don't work anymore, it seems to be from altermatic?), best case scenario everyone stops caring and goes back to realizing there's no laws against the pals batman.

Its possible, I'm not sure where I saw it but there were arousal settings in one of the Jsons. Whatever the reason, now all males are now full mast and my character doesn't go flaccid after most times, never had this issue until they started splitting like hydra heads.

As for the anthro animations I don't know if there even is any issues going on there, I think they're just busy. I don't care enough to look into this nonsense. All I know is I can't use most of Tboxs stuff religiously anymore and I'm stuck with my Lovander and Bastigor and a few others until things get better, if at all.

Those preaching they need to let it go, should probably follow their own advice. Telling people to make up, while asking for the context is just wildly rude. Adults are allowed to not like each other and set their own boundaries. Some real intense asking your parents to stay together for you vibes.
