Whether the claim holds that it was done in malice is left as an exercise for the reader. But from my understanding the uploading of files had something to do with version changes breaking old mods, and people not being happy, and presumably the uploading of older frameworks without permission. In that sense, that in itself can be considered a faux pas in modding communities. Which is to say, neither side seems willing to let grievances slide, but they should. Added an image of the prior mentioned update which lead further down this rabbit hole of distrust, especially because it was downloaded specifically from his site at the time. Otherwise, the current impasse is this: - One side is upset that certain people don't interact with his frameworks or says things he doesn't agree with (not necessarily anything actually problematic, just petty nonsense) - The other side is upset that the first party continues to drag them through the mud and has shown that he will be petty enough to do something as distinct as inject malicious code into the sole framework needed for their content. It may have been something as minor as juvenile name calling, but it doesn't exactly set a good precedence when it easily means that he can choose to jack up the system just because you opted to use a content pack from someone he doesn't like, then blame it on the person who made it rather than his own head. There isn't really any "let grievances slide" on the matter when you either are forced to "trust" someone who doesn't like you as is, or just don't make content anymore. That's not a choice, it's an ultimatum and an extremely unfair one at that, that hurts everyone. 2

Acerbus_9191 Posted Friday at 06:59 PM Posted Friday at 06:59 PM Using any mod relies on trust, using a framework means that other modders are vouching for it, if the creator of that framework is willing to modify the code to childishly insult people then of course those people aren't going to vouch for them, nobody should vouch for somebody willing to do that kind of petty bullshit with a mod dependency's code. If this is the actual story it might be the dumbest way I've ever seen somebody torpedo their own reputation as a modder, if you want to call somebody a shithead just say it to their face, adding malicious code to a mod to insult somebody is so immature I don't even have a followup, goddamn. 4

Please tell me, why would an animator choose to torpedo any and all chance of sharing content by using bad coding practices like that. Their work is made up of a pak and a json, no more, no less and does nothing on its own. The framework on the other hand also does nothing on its own, but its far easier to target certain aspects of the files (naming especially) in a framework to target with something than it is to put down something on the only piece of infrastructure it can even run on. Does that genuinely make any kind of sense to you for the animator to use malicious code like that? 1
