Z0mBieP00Nani Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Basically something that allows for the existence of elves in The Sim 4, with abilities and traits that would make sense for elves, kind of like the new fairies occult.

It allows a Sim to become an elf? I thought it just added the ability to make magical items. I read the description on the page there, but it didn't say anything about elves, unless I missed something.
Zasz Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Its not a big mod. But if you combine it with spellcasters from realm of magic, grab some CC for ears and such, you can have the next best thing.

I mean, this is TECHNICALLY what I'm looking for, but it's unfortunate that it's in the form of a CAS trait and not its own occult. Though, I suspect creating an occult would be a lot more complicated. Still, I'm a little bummed that no Elf occult exists yet. I'm kind of surprised that EA hasn't done that yet...
Zasz Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Spellcasters and fairys are the next best thing. The rest all depends on CC.

All of the occults we have are ones we've already had before. Better to take the easy route and release something people want and they know will sell rather than take a risk. Though I argue this game not taking risks is a part of why it's so mediocre.

They gave us a Star Wars DLC when nobody asked for that too. They had fairies before?... It just seems like it would have made more sense if they did faries, elves, and maybe goblins, all as one DLC. But that would probably classify as "risky", like you said. A lot of games are like that these days, though... EDIT: In fact, if EA wanted to do something REALLY risky, they could even make a separate Sims game centered around mythology (and there would be humans too). But, again, that would probably be considered "too risky"... Even though it would probably sell pretty well, I think. Edited June 9 by Z0mBieP00Nani

Batuu was a shameless cash-grab to advertise a theme park. And Fairies were in The Sims 3. One of the best occults of The Sims 3, in my opinion. 4 hours ago, Z0mBieP00Nani said: In fact, if EA wanted to do something REALLY risky, they could even make a separate Sims game centered around mythology (and there would be humans too). One realm would be set in the modern world and be full of human sins, and the other would have your standard medieval setting, with cottages, and castles, and knights, with humans as well. That way there could be a crossover of both worlds. Sims from the other mythology world space could cross over, but there would be penalties, the same way vampire Sims can't live in the sunlight, so they could only be over in the other world for a short time, unless they had an amulet with an enchantment on it that allowed them to survive in the other world, or something like that. It could allow for raid type mechanics, with kidnappings and that sort of stuff. As for DLCs, those could include the usual stuff, including new mythological races being added. Ambitious, but I think something like that would sell pretty well. 1
travelmedic Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I don't know if this fits your requirements, as they're called Fairies and not elves, but are you familiar with Spinning Plumbob's Fairies vs Witches mod? It's on his Patreon here but I don't think you need to pay for it.
