Help with random overlays

So I'm having an issue where a mod and I'm not sure which one is randomly applying an overlay to my entire character but it doesn't have a texture so it just comes up purple, if I open up racemenu to check it it turns white and just says default instead of blank like my other ones do which is strange is there a way in the console or like the debug section of a mod to check what mod is applying which overlay or something as checking in slavetats just says external

Community Overlays 1  Is this by any chance? 

 

Are you using Animated Overlay?

Have you checked in Skyrim data\Textures\Actors\Character\Slavetats, what this folder is? 

From MCM\Slavetats, have you tried these textures?

Sorry that was a typo it says external, which just comes up when any mod other than slavetats applies a texture and i dont use animated overlay, it goes away after 10 or so seconds though

So extra info after playing for a while, it also happened to some npcs at one point, I think it might be an issue with cum overlays so going to try messing around with that

Hey sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have just now recently ran into this same issue where indeed the tabs are completely empty as described in the post but as you suggested, if I finalize my character and exit and then reopen racemenu they all show up.

Is there anyway to fix this or is this just a quirk of racemenu that is unavoidable? I would just like to avoid entering racemenu through the console as that has before caused things to break or my characters to lose stuff.

There is probably no specific fix . Unlike other mods, Racemenu has not been updated anymore (at least on Nexus)
