EDIT: Please, have a try on this beta version of 0.9.9. It should solve every issue you pointed out.

Thank you very much, it's working like a charm. The criminal hideout menu is back and the picker is displaying in interactions and underwear is for sale which is new from 409.

I'm trying to track down an issue with "chat with webcam" where the sim's outfits are overridden after the strip methods are invoked (unlocked by exhibition level). It seems random though, I loaded the same save several times with the outfits destroyed and then switched on logging and it stopped doing it. I will try and log it the next time it happens.

Testing it through now and the problems aforementioned are now resolved for most part, thank you!  Only thing I noticed is the "ask to show cock" interaction and the accompanying stripping animation for the service sim being asked hangs a bit longer when compared to regular sims - especially noticeable when done initially, clearing faster with repeated attempts.  A general log is zipped below in case anything else can be improved.

General_Logging_Export_40C0A861.zip 1.91 kB · 0 downloads

As of now this is the best that can be done to avoid scriptErrors for Yielding Context (adding forced interactions on role Sims that cannot support it) and for a marginal feature like Service Sims... Otherwise I might become like a crunched Rockstar developer during 2024 scandal 😂

Oh can you explain what is this for? I just saw this option on the Misc section with Beta version.

Yeah, sure!

This option was missing from Kinky CAS, to align it to major CAS mods that already exist.

EA by default supports only a limited amount of sliders in CAS (the literal sliders you can customize your Sims with, in the Appearance tab - Full CAS, like head size for example). Default should be 25 Sliders by EA if I'm not wrong.

It means that, if you had any custom slider introduced by any mod (like penis sliders, added body sliders, etc.) you may have noticed that from time to time, only 25 sliders of that total would have been working, mixed between EA and modded ones. In my case, before this beta patch, I had some mouth and jaw sliders that would have been no-op and do nothing, for other users it would have been bottom parts sliders.

So this patch adds more supported sliders like Master Controller does (and others do) so that every added slider is supported, visible, functional and registered as well :) With default "100".

image.png.031429e7fd6ef3912e7052e9072bc944.png

请记住,如果你有其他模组覆盖了相同按键组合的触发器,它们可能无法正常工作。

编辑:只有在你在杂项中启用了调试交互时,“DebugMove”的快捷方式才有效

我也不知道该怎么解释随机的冻结,它们可能由很多原因影响,单凭这种方式报告也帮不了你:/

另外,BETA22 在 Kinky CAS 上有更多代码可以启用或禁用,且没有涉及游戏过程中可能的冻结。

Thank you. I've tried the version of 452 and changed the TRIG file, unfortunately, it still doesn't work. I just give up haha. Luckily, the random freezing seems to be gone, but I notice something weird that whenever I select the option of "Going home to fulfill needs autonomously"(something like that, hope I didn't get it wrong), no options pop up just disappear.

I suspect the issue you're having is that you may have debug options disabled.

Animations shortcut (move debug) is only active on keyboard if the debug options (in Miscellaneous, that include "Debug Move") is already active, otherwise it won't work. This is because the shortcuts are not performing "WooHoo..." > "Move..." as a pie menu interactions, but a "Kinky World..." > "Debug..." > "Move..." that is a different path and works even outside of woohooing animations.

In any case, the Go Home Autonomously bug is curious, and somehow in my opinion depends from Chinese characters, because @Max Rock (If I recall correctly) was having the same issue while trying translating that menu. In english, italian, and other latin character the menu works properly, but I had other reports in the past for some Brothel menus that wouldn't be working with Cyrillic characters in Russian.

I suppose you're not having scriptErrors from this, so if you have any time, please try the FULL-EN version (everything translated to English) trying to open that same menu and see if that works.

If it does... There's some kind of issues with STBLs in non-latin characters I still can't identify properly.

EDIT: I may have said something stupid, because in the MULTI version, that part of the menu is still in English. It's still strange that it happened twice from two different users, presumably in Chinese translation of the mod. I'll try investigating this if I find something else specific

EDIT 2: Trying to use the Chinese version of the mod (overriding strings in STBL editor) I've noticed that my local Windows cannot translate most of the STBLs in Chinese, including the table headers for Name/Values (shown as "___") that may be contributing to the issue. Let me know if this still happens with the FULL-EN version - I may try using only EN fallbacks for table headers if that results in being the issue.

Thanks, I've imported it both in 453 BETA that in 452 release (locally).

I still didn't replace the main file uploaded as a ZIP in the post because you said "temporary" - let me know what you mean.

If you're working on another translation for 452 I'll wait :)

감사합니다. 453 베타 버전과 452 릴리스 버전(로컬) 모두에 해당 파일을 가져왔습니다.

"임시"라고 하셔서 아직 게시글에 ZIP 파일로 업로드한 원본 파일을 교체하지 않았는데, 무슨 뜻인지 알려주세요.

452번 문제의 다른 번역 작업을 하고 계시다면 기다리겠습니다.:)

The current status is up to date. I marked it as 'temporary' because I am constantly making updates. Please apply this to 453.

谢谢。我试过 452 版本,也修改了 TRIG 文件,但很遗憾,还是不行。我放弃了哈哈。还好,随机卡顿的问题似乎解决了,但我注意到一个奇怪的现象:每当我选择“回家自主完成需求”(大概是这个意思,希望我没记错)这个选项时,选项不会弹出,而是直接消失了。

Is the bug you encountered related to the translatable content in this section? I checked the "ONIKI_KinkyMod.package" file within the mod. I am using "Oniki's Kinky World Build 452 v0.9.8 - LoversLab Edition." The "Read Me First" section cannot be translated into Chinese; The phrase "Read Me First" cannot be translated into Chinese because if you enter the game and click on the Chinese translation "请先阅读" (Read Me First) to view it, the entire menu will crash and pop up.
(I searched for content related to "go home," but only found these few sentences.)
This is actually an issue I’ve encountered before: if I don't translate the "Read Me First" file, that part of the game works fine—the menu opens normally and doesn't crash. I’m certain my personal translation isn't included in your mod, but I’m curious about what’s going on. That’s why I’m asking—sorry if this is an inconvenience.

This report of yours was EXTREMELY precious.

I tried translating that button from Italian to Chinese ("请先阅读") and my picker crashed as well, but this time I had script errors!

I'm patching this right now to find a solution: this sould solve many other similar errors related to STBL: the mod/Sims 3 is localizing the button twice, making the picker crash!

EDIT: Finally DONE!! The picker doesn't crash anymore. This problem was the exact same @mrph reported me for some Brothel Menus where a Third Button (clickable) was translated twice in Russian and made the picker crash in "Apply Schedule" (possibly in Chinese as well, at this point!)

Please try the latest 453 BETA5 from here! If it works, feel free to translate the entire package in Chinese now that is possible, so I can import it!!

@Dustercoat0321 this BETA already includes your latest translation :D There's something more to translate if you want!

There are six package files in total. Details are as follows:
1. Regarding the Traditional Chinese STBL files within `ONIKI_KinkyMod.package`, I have made some modifications; the vast majority of the English and Traditional Chinese text has been translated into Simplified Chinese.
2. The `ONIKI_Objects.package` file contains two Traditional Chinese STBL files. Their filenames are shown in the image `ONIKI_Objects.png`.
3. I have corrected and supplemented the translations for the Traditional Chinese STBL files across all six package files.

As said earlier here some update for the Oniki_Anims.package and a update for the GER localization for KW 452_098.

May you have a look at these files and if you like it, you maybe use it for a coming KW update.
More detailed info about "Oniki_Anims" you will find in the "Oniki_Anims_Readme.txt" attached to the ZIP file.

For my game play, KW452_098 runs excellent ! Thank you for all your efforts.

Thank you Max! I'm working on this right now. I'm very happy we solved the issue about Chinese (and Russian) localization!

Do you confirm that you worked on "Chinese - Taiwan" strings (in theory traditional?) and not "Chinese - China" strings? Because they look alike in S3PE, especially in packages with multiple dataset, but I want to be sure I'm working it right. I saw you pretty much used the TW STBLs in every package!

At this point I would also copy it in CN - CN considering that half the content is still in English there!

EDIT: I'm actually very confused because simplified Chinese looks ended up (everywhere) in the translation slots of traditional Chinese and viceversa in the entire mod 🤔

I'm also (finally) creating 1 only dataset in ONIKI_Objects.package instead of having so many different STBL files for different objects, so I'll likely merge the 2 Taiwan translations you applied in that file!

Hi. I installed OKW Build 452 v0.9.8 on a fresh save, but I noticed that the KW traits don't appear in CAS. Did I forget to install any required prerequisites?

Hi Johbud!

Since 445, Kinky Traits have been moved to a different system rather than CAS and Simology, to leave space to vanilla traits and unify them on one only interface (considering they were scattered among multiple places).

Kinky Traits are now stored and ordered in the Skill Tab (where previously only the "Preference traits" would have shown up).

Once you go the Skill tab or select a Sim a popup appears asking you if you want to add Kinky Traits to your Sim (after which every new trait will show up in said Skill Tab, for a max of 5 traits) and you can also disable this popup mechanic through the settings (General Settings). In General Settings you will also be able to spread Kinky Traits to your town's population choosing a percentage.

If you want to change your traits, you can go through the pie menu in "Kinky World..." > "Kinky Traits" and change them for 5000 Life Time Reward points, or just use the "Debug Traits Mode" in Miscellaneous to change any Sim traits for free (where also reward traits will be able to be chosen).

:) It's in the main post by the way, if you search it up ("Kinky Traits")

I imported your fixed animations (and XML) with the GER new strings in newest 453 BETA6, that is here. This beta contains latest translations from @Max Rock and @Dustercoat0321 as well.

I may think about replacing this build directly over 452, considering 452 was missing CAS sliders in any case and the important patch related to picker menus crashing in Russian and Chinese characters where a third button was present.

There are still some strings that are english only (new, related to 453) - if anyone wants to keep on translating them, it's super cool!

I'll wait a while and then probably post this directly this new 453 as a replacement for 452 🤔

This is precisely the frustrating part for me. The *Sims 3* game engine does not correctly recognize Simplified Chinese; it only recognizes Traditional Chinese. I asked ChatGPT for advice on how to handle this, and it suggested translating only the Traditional Chinese portion. Consequently, I focused solely on the Traditional Chinese and abandoned the translation for the Simplified Chinese column.
I don't know how to get *The Sims 3* to recognize Simplified Chinese.

I apologize for the confusion.

There's actually a personal motive behind this. The Sims 3 can only recognize Traditional Chinese, so for my own reading convenience, I did a lot of translation work directly in Chinese - Taiwan - I used Simplified Chinese for all the work. Simplified Chinese is my mother tongue, but Traditional Chinese is not. Although I can understand it, the Taiwanese culture and linguistic style behind Traditional Chinese are something I cannot imitate.
I apologize for the extra workload I’ve caused you due to my taking a shortcut—translating the English text into Simplified Chinese while working within the "Chinese - Taiwan" locale.

I’m thinking of a solution: perhaps I could copy and paste the Simplified Chinese text into Google Translate line by line to convert it into Traditional Chinese, and then paste the result into the Traditional Chinese section. I suppose I have to pay the price for my own laziness after all...

Oh don't worry for that, for real :) It's not an issue!

If your translations were meant to be simplified chinese (therefore CH - CN) I can just copy and paste the entire language with S3SE! Not an issue :) And actually, thank you for your hard work!

I will then copy the simplified chinese to the traditional strings as well (that are incomplete) - that until someone translates them entirely! I guess that having simplified in both STBL files is still better than having pure English!

EDIT: Do you mean that, while you start your game in chinese, The Sism 3 only recognize the CH - TW STBL files? Because that can make sense and in that case I understand perfectly the issue!

EDIT 2: Following some researches online, and the official EA page of the game:

image.png.9a49b059fec5e8fa7deef381c50ae53f.png

It appears that the game only supports "Traditional Chinese", meaning that as you experienced yourself, "Simplified Chinese" (CH - CN) is not read by the game (or the various mods) at all!! This explains everything. It means that (for Kinky World or any other mod) one must only choose a variant to import in both languages (where only CN - TW will be read by the game and mods)!

Considering the effort you took into translating everything, I'd say we could import simplified chinese into both STBL files! And possibly put a mediafire download somewhere for people to replace real Traditional Chinese strings if needed :) Also because... I think the greatest "demographic" part of Chinese players of Kinky World (and Sims 3) would typically look for simplified chinese text rather than traditional, does that make sense?

EDIT 3: Also. to be honest, I already imported your TW files into everything - and thank makes sense, being TW the only file being read by the game! I think it's already perfect as it is then :)

As you noted, that is indeed the case. Among the Chinese player base for Kinky World (and *The Sims 3*), the vast majority definitely prefer Simplified Chinese over Traditional Chinese.
Here is my current plan and situation:
1. I will continue translating the English text within the `ONIKI_KinkySettings.package` file into Simplified Chinese. To ensure translation quality, I use ChatGPT to help me understand English slang and key *Sims 3* terminology (such as "LTR"—which stands for "Long-Term Relationship" value; I only learned this by asking ChatGPT). My goal is to translate the English content into clear, accessible Simplified Chinese.
2. I have already translated the vast majority of the English text I could find within `ONIKI_KinkySettings.package` that relates to the KW menus and pie menus. However, I have only translated a portion of the character dialogue (such as KW's flirtatious interactions).
3. Personal matters take up a lot of my time, so I have to prioritize translating the most important content first—specifically the KW menus and pie menus.
Finally, thank you very much for your understanding. I am deeply grateful for your work on KW; you have reignited my passion for playing *The Sims 3*.

You're welcome, actually, I feel very happy that people like you are contributing to their own language :) I felt happy as well when I could contribute to translate almost the entire dataset in Italian!

Be careful in any case with ONIKI_KinkySettings.package: it doesn't contains STBLs but configurational XMLs for the main mod! You were probably referring to the main settings that are available in the main mod package (like the whole UI Settings and pie menu interactions) - you did an amazing job on the main ONIKI_KinkyMod that has something like 3200+ strings already!!

Other separate packages that contains STBL (WomansHygiene, Objects, Cannabis, Anims, Dildo) that you provided in another comment, I guess are already fully translated! :D

Thank you again! And don't worry about time: what you did was already super helpful for anyone playing the mod in Chinese! There's always time to update strings :)

As you mentioned, aside from the "Strings_CHT_CN_0x020000006DA3CE99" entry within `ONIKI_KinkySettings.package`, I have translated the contents of the other four packages (`ONIKI_Anims.package`, `ONIKI_Cannabis.package`, `ONIKI_Dildo.package`, and `ONIKI_WomensHygiene.package`) in their entirety (as shown in Image 1).

However, the STBL files inside `ONIKI_Objects.package` really puzzled me.
I find it strange that when I open `ONIKI_Objects.package` using the translation tool s3se, only the content shown in Image 2 appears. However, as Image 3 demonstrates, there is far more content within `ONIKI_Objects.package` requiring translation than just that small amount. I discovered this issue while using the s3pe tool to check for any missed STBL files within `ONIKI_Objects.package`.

When I re-examined `ONIKI_Objects.package` using s3pe today, I encountered another issue: as shown in Images 4 and 5, there appear to be STBL files that require translation, yet they lack names—the "Name" column is blank. I cannot determine exactly which of these STBL files is the one I need to translate into Simplified Chinese.

Faced with such a large number of STBL files, I don't know what I can do. I can only start by translating the STBL files named "Strings_Chinese_Taiwan_(zh-tw)".

When you restore EA's funny interactions they are actually doubled in the pie menu. Could be any other mod but the same stuff happens when enabling KW romantic interactions.

I agree with you, Objects.package is a mess and contains A LOT of single object infos and strings that are multiplied for every single language (about 196 STBL files). This is why in latest beta I shared with you (in my latest messages) I told you I patched Objects.package leaving only 1 data set :)

With S3SE you can notice that if you click in un the upper left corner you can choose a "dataset". Objects.package is the only package having like 10 different datasets for individual objects:

This has been patched in the latest ZIP I shared where only 1 dataset with all strings has been merged and generated :D

I'm also (finally) creating 1 only dataset in ONIKI_Objects.package instead of having so many different STBL files for different objects, so I'll likely merge the 2 Taiwan translations you applied in that file!

I imported your fixed animations (and XML) with the GER new strings in newest 453 BETA6, that is here. This beta contains latest translations from @Max Rock and @Dustercoat0321 as well.

Use that one - because in that one you can find 1 only dataset with about 57 strings to translate!

Hi!

Yes this is a known issue (and it's reported in the main post as well). Before my patches and the toggle you see in Settings, KW simply removed half of the interactions due to both EA and KW re-injecting their own "types" of interactions at the same time.

When you restore them, even if you have plenty of EA's ones, they still are duplicated and there's no safe way (as of now) to not show duplicates without the risk of losing some interaction.

So as of now it's better to keep duplicates than having no EA interaction at all.

To solve this issue permanently, almost every KW interaction should be rewritten and redesigned from scratch and it's something very crazy to do (in this time of my life at least 😂)
