I looked on my Steam List and I do have The Martial Arts: Cultivation mod.

 

So perhaps I have that in the list instead of your mod.

 

I'll unsubscribe from that mod and see if that effects things, because maybe one is overwriting the other or something. Without my game in front of me its hard to tell.

I think you where using the version 0.3 There was a feature/bug that made every focus unavailable if player was busy/travelling/in activity etc. and I think your player was busy when you were trying to choose focus. I fixed that on v0.3.1 So if you encounter this bug again please tell me. I'm actively playing this mod with regula magistry/phaze's mods/interracial takeover and many more. Until now aside from this bug there is no issue on the mod from my playthrough.

That's likely it. I was attending an event in the same barony that I was already in, I thought it would work but it probably still ccounted as travelling.

O.k found the issue.

 

Yes indeed I had the wrong mod. For some reason there was no included image on the mod in the list so I thought it was your mod. Apologies for the issue.

I think it would be more amenable to have the skill gains from cultivating more... spread out. They're really Learning heavy, with some Martial thrown in. It would be nicer for there to be more evenly distributed skill totals as a late game character can get to like 450+ Learning but have nearly none of the other stat. Maybe tone down the Advantage gain as well, for any semblance of "balance" lol?

Hi, I’m a big fan of your work. While playing, I had an idea for a feature that could deepen the character progression system. 

1. Early Childhood Training(Marrow Cleansing)
A decision or interaction where a parent can perform a "Body Reformation" on their young child. This would grant the child Lifestyle Perks at an early age, representing a gifted foundation for their future.
2. Deathbed Legacy Transfer (Power Transmission)
A special decision available when the ruler is near death (old age or terminally ill). The ruler can choose to "transfer" their lifelong cultivation to their heir. The heir receives a significant Lifestyle XP boost or a unique trait that increases XP gain, representing the inheritance of the predecessor’s power.
Without this system, it feels incredibly difficult and tedious to re-grind the entire Cultivation lifestyle from scratch every time a new heir takes over.

In a dynasty of legendary masters, it breaks the immersion if the successor has to start as a complete novice.

And there is UI Issue: Missing Sect/Faith Icons 
I’ve attached a screenshot showing the "Visit Cultivation Sect" and faith window. As you can see, some sects are missing their unique icons. It would be great if these could be updated for better visual immersion.

For the first and second question. Yes I have plans like that for the future when I add monthly cultivation lifestyle xp and effects/articafcts/modifiers etc. for it. For the last question. Its not a bug I just didn't created any icons for them yet. I'm working on the dynasty for now. Bloodlines:

Trying to play with the mod and it just doesn't load up, even when it's just Cultivation. Doesn't even change the checksum.

 

Edit: Deleting an old mod from the Steam Workshop that hasn't updated in about a year also just called Cultivation fixed this...for some reason.

Damn those look interesting and good. 

 

That said, it maybe a good if you added no visible aging to the mod as well as disabling infirm/incapable. 

 

For the aging the game engine tends to start breaking down in terms of looks as you get into advanced ages. My current character run.....he is starting to look weird as he goes over 100.

 

For the later it is a good QoL to add, last thing you want is to have a run suddenly upended by a random incapable/infirm event firing.

I'm making new window for cultivation. Spiritual root trait with element tracks. I'm thinking if I should move cultivation from lifestyle to this new window. With more control and combability for other mods. I'm open for suggestions so please leave a comment.

I am having a bug where the event "Entering Nirvana Success" keep triggering. It does not give me the trait, I don't even have the option to try to breakthrough, but it keeps proccing, multiple times in a row in fact. Even if I click them away, a few minutes later it procs again...

Using console commands to give me the trait, bypassing things, etc. do not stop it.

I added the fixed version. I did fixed it in my playthrough but forgot to upload here. I don't have the old version so there some changes in the new update. Don't hesitate to give suggestions. 👍

Its not a bug. I didn't created an image for it yet. I'm still in the progress of implementing cultivation maa's. 1 is bloodline based and one for unique to sects. (Based on tenets like mount hua swordsmanship tenet etc.) So I'm not 100% sure how to add cultivation maa s. Until I finish and satisfied of the mod there will be always some placeholder or empty images. Like maa s, sects or trait image for after heavenly being realm. 

 

You can place this in the mod folder. There is 2 additional image chose whatever you want only this naming works: "martial_artist_cultivator.dds" so delete (2) or (3) if you want to use another one.

I didn't added that right now. They can use the lifestyle if their faith have the cultivation tenet but I think they can't use decision/event system that I added. I'm working on a new system for now I'll add that future after that system.

I compared your code regarding on_action with similar code from other mods that use Carnalitas (such as Daughters of Lust) and it would appear that the order of definitions for the hook and the triggering on_action were reversed. I adjusted it to how other mods handle the hooking and the adjusted code appears to work according to my error.log. It appears that the mod checks for the presence of the third Dynastic Legacy by looking for "martial_arts_legacy_3" rather than for "cultivation_legacy_3", so instead of actually triggering the effect, it was throwing an error that the trigger couldn't resolve.
I haven't tested the on_action code with the change to the legacy check, but I've attached it in case you wish to test things for yourself.

  • New Cultivation Lifestyle 12 tree with 12 cultivation realms
  • New Bloodline for future use
  • Dynamic Realm traits
  • New sects as faith with 4 different religion family based on 4 cultivation path (orthodox - unorthodox - demonic - vagrant)
  • 4 Cultivation tenet that opens cultivation lifestyle. You can add to any other faith vanilla or modded
  • Sect visit and Breakthrough decisions
  • Sect join and spar with a disciple events
  • 1 new Dynasty track for future use. Right now it opens some old system like dual cultivation, new maa etc. It still works but will change when I start making clans with that track

Thinks I want to do:

  • Firstly I'm open for suggestions. 
  • Sect Buildings for Advanturer camp, Noble House and Land. 
  • Clans as Family estates. With the games new system. New building etc.
  • Master - Disciple relationship
  • Dao way lifestyle. (Like Sword dao, elemental dao etc. or entirely different style I'm not sure about what to do. I can even separate dao and lifestyle and do something else for lifestyle. I appreciate the suggestions.)
  • New Tournament style Activity. Like in wuxia style novels there will be fights held in every year and every 10 year. You will gain like qi gathering pills, sect join offers etc. I'm hyped XD

Will there be a Russian localization for this mod? I also wanted to know – I saw a mod on the Steam Workshop that's very similar to this one, from the name to the cult icons. There was also a Dual Meditation addon for it (there used to be one, but I can't find it now), which has the exact same Bloodline dynasty line as this one. Are you supposedly borrowing the idea?

It was named Martial arts: Dual Cultivation an I did used Martial Arts - Cultivation as a master when I first started. I changed everything from that mod like new realms etc. and made it standalone then changed the name entirely. Sorry for the confusion for the about name change. I did it so there won't any misunderstanding between these 2 mods.

Thank you I still didn't reworked dual cultivation interaction after making it standalone. I'll look at that after new cultivation window finishes.
