legendarytoyou Posted January 26 Posted January 26 I have yet to see anyone give me an update on whether the game is stable or not. As a result I've uninstalled Fallout 4 and will NOT be installing it again until I know its either stable or in danger of getting another dumbass, "update," that'll make saves corrupted. Damnit Bethesda, you guys used to make me call in sick a work for a new release now I'm just so disgusted I don't even want to even bother anymore.😭
7osisg4d Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Get the game on GoG and you can lock the version. Still a PITA to install mods though. 1
Demonwise Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Or you can just look up how to roll back the game version using steam's console.
legendarytoyou Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Sorry to say neither are an option. Don't really like GoG due to past experience and really trying to avoid having to do a rollback game version. Some of the new mods are actually really cool and I want to have at them via the Creation Club content but if its making game have the FPS of a jpeg because of these shitty, "updates," I don't even want to bother at this point anymore. *sigh* Guess I'll just keep waiting then.
Reginald_001 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 The game is not 'stable' and will not be stable until the TV show ends. 1

Yeah sadly that's the impression I'm getting as well. I'll just stick to New Vegas then. Hopefully once the TV series is done they'll stop with chronic updates that do little more than ruin the game when it was stable in first place. Bethesda is starting to remind me of Blizzard these days in the quote, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," and instead goes, "if it ain't broke, fix it until it is and then dodge the blow back."😒
legendarytoyou Posted January 30 Author Posted January 30 (edited) Okay while I've got this in the pipe, a question regarding the game. I uninstalled the game not solely for the updates but some other bug perhaps? Loading the game via script extender, I noticed it would reset my GPU's settings to default settings. This of course is not optimal, at least not for me. Even tried loading game via Steam launcher and it still did that. Any idea why the game is doing this? System specs are: AMD RX Radeon 6700xt GPU Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core CPU 128 GB RAM BTW reason why I'm getting back into the game I found a new mod on Nexus called Loreout. Sounds like it address' a lot of the garbage I initially hated about the game in the first place. Edited January 30 by legendarytoyou
subaverage Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I believe the vanilla game is stable. At least for game version 163, but I would think AE is also. What can make it unstable is modding. Even when you can do a lot to the game and it's still running. Regarding your GPU you could look into the Fallout4Prefs.ini. There you should fnd your GPU and graphis setting after you made your adjustments in the FO4 launcher. If not perhaps FO 4 can't write to this file. 1
