Why so clunky ?

This is not meant to cause any offence or anything like that, I am just curious on this, I love the fallout series, science fiction is far more my thing than fantasy but after Oblivion and Skyrim, I am finding the sexout system to be clunky.

 

Oblivion I understand the adult mod community grew from many countries and talented people, with the lovers PK system even with the translation hurdles just about anything you could have wanted can be experienced.

 

Skyrim, Sexlab is an amazing feat of script and code it has created a system for skyrim that includes multiple voices, foreplay, different sexual animations within the same act even surpassing the oblivion level of subtlety.

 

From people who Mod that I have talked to the fallout NV engine is easier to mod for than skyrim, the setting is amazing so why do I feel like I am in a bad porn movie when the sexual action starts nothing slow or subtle usually one animation for the whole of the sex act.

 

Is my version not set up right, have I missed some addons?

 

I thought the engine for Fallout was closer to oblivion so why was all the animations and voices from there not ripped, can't imagine it being easy but still or is it a difference in engine or scripts can the NV system not handle the 4-6 animations and options of something like lovers pk.

 

Is it simply not as many people got into modding for NV?

 

I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into getting any kind of adult content for NV you guys are great it is just curiosity.

Not sure what you mean by clunky but I had no problems with Sexout. Actually, 2 of my favourite adult mods out of the 3 games is for FNV (its msex Veronica D/s and the Tryouts). Maybe the stability of FNV scares modders or something not sure, but i think Sexout got very good mods overall.

Okay let me try explain what I mean

In sexout if sex is initiated it is or seems like a single animation loop.

In Sexlab it is "undress animation" "foreplay animation" 1-3 animations and finishing event

Same with oblivion lots of lovemaking animations and different levels of the animation as the event goes on.

 

Am I missing something ?

 

as in the others look like a proper sexual event not a out of context single animation

you can't really compare oblivion and skyrim to any fallout games. yes it was made with the same engine but that is far as it go. NVSE and FOSE never got that much attention like it got with oblivion and skyrim so many stuff you take for granted was not possible with fallout games.

 

As for animation not sure what to make of it. Without the proper animations there is no real mod that can benefit from it. There was never any foreplay created for fallout,

 

There where many animators but most dissapeared after few was created so they do lack animators now.

 

I am making new ones now but making quality once takes lot's of time. I could make 100 of only 21 frames. and make it it look realistic by moving the pelvis up down left and right. But they will look way too simplistic.

As I see it, in addition to engine and scripting limitations, more people out there are just more interested in the medieval fantasy thing than are post-apocalyptic wild west, and as a result, you get a larger pool of players, which means a larger pool of animators and modders to draw from. To give you an example, I don't remember ever seeing more than two animators ever working on Fallout at once, and the norm has always been one lonely soul doing all the hard work.

While I am more a medieval fan as well, it is really a pity that Fallout doesn't get more love (love, get it? like llove and sex and...ah no important...)

 

Because in Fallout, you can actually do almost anything, any fetish, every weird fantasy without it feeling too much out of place! Evil insane scientists, slavers in abundance, all kinds of wicked creatures and mutants, almost no law-enforcement and low moral standards concerning sex, abuse or violence in almost all places...sex-mods that might look and feel ridicolous in Skyrim (Deathclaw Breeders for example) fit perfectly into the world of Fallout!

 

Yeah, more animations, quests and general stuff for Fallout would be great (Don't look at me though, I can barely start the GECK without a crash...)

Yeah only thing Fallout doesn't have is Magic, Dragons and Elves :)

But we have VaultTech, Deathclaws and FemBots :)

 I took a stab at a Sexlab install, and found a bunch of buggy plugins and a game

that never worked quite right afterwards even after I uninstalled everything. It's

simply not worth the risk for a game where you can invest 100's of hours in a

playthrough. Maybe I'll try again when I get thoroughly bored with Skyrim, but

modding Skyrim is a major PITA compared to New Vegas.

 

I also kind of feel like my Skyrim characters are always to noble to subject

to the debauchery my New Vegas girl gets up to; it's like turning the Lord

of the Rings into a cheap porno flick. Burned out buildings and rusty machinery

is way more sexy to me; I do wish there were horses though ;)

I actually don't find skyrim any different than NV for installing and setting up mods and I have sexlab + certain mods enabled on all my playthroughs now, you can make it quite subtle so that it completely works with immersion but I have noticed that if you mod NV and go to Skyrim or the other way around it all feels quite odd hell I have 12 sex mods enabled on my main game all with settings in MCM that mean in a normal days adventuring she only gets raped/impregnated/has sex if I play her stupid and allow her to be in a situation it can happen.

 

I am use to skyrim so I am having to force myself to give NV + sexout a fair try, if my character masturbates in Skyrim she removes her clothes (with removal animation if you select it) lays down, masturbates fluidly over 3-4 different animation cycle as she becomes more excites and then orgasms, in sexout masturbation is a single loop which I had the same reaction I have to really bad porn.

 

Having said that I understand the limitations and I have been spoiled by the unlimited options to do with sexuality within skyrim.

 

So I am going to spend all this weekend testing different sexout mods and see if I can get a less "clunky" and if not I can always pass it off as sex being more of a rush thing in the apocalypse.

 

Because I prefer scifi to fantasy.
