I uninstalled the game a while ago because the game was pretty much unplayable with mods since it forces me to use dx11 & made the game stutters like hell

is that still an on going issue rn? or did they fix the dx11 issue?

How do I fix all the mods? I downloaded the latest experimental RabbitFx and even the CN fix that was posted there, but it still doesn't fix all the mods.

It doesn't fix all the mods, it only fix as the description says only chinese mods (CN) by turning their shaders to work with the global RabbitFx. The update changed every character model so it takes time to come up with a tool that fixes everything. So if you have mods that are not chinese then those won't be fixed, you will have to wait for the creator to fix it themselves and re-download it. If you are not in the Safe Zone Discord, you should check it, most mods have an affix there saying "1.4 Fix" and those are working fine.

Dayum. Wish they keep that back coat of her and the scroll on. Other than that - amazing job.

I have already used cnmodfixer to fix the mod and used version v43e4 of rabbitfx, but the mod remains the same.

Last time I used that the mod broke even further...

Snaccubus

He simply doesn't learn from his mistakes and wants money for his broken mods.

And then people wonder why the game keeps crashing on them.

Does that happen to all of their mods? I installed all of theirs because they have a lot of stuffs and easy to customize and because I didn't know it'd be that bad

Unfortunately, yes—there is a bug in the CN mod that he still hasn't fixed. It's running somewhat better right now thanks to the XXMI fix, but just two of his mods are enough to make your system very unstable. The problem is that his mods clog up your RAM and VRAM with countless copies of data. You can see this in the load times, too; I've noticed that each of his mods adds 4–5 seconds to the loading process.

I would advise everyone to limit the number of mods they use based on their graphics card, in order to prevent crashes.

Endfield also has a quick fix that reduces VRAM usage, but you notice it through severe lag or graphical glitches when the memory gets too full. But that has its limits.

With the XXMI version, too, it's best to steer clear of CN mods, as they aren't compatible with the launcher.

Stay away from CN mods, and you can have fun modding again. ^^

I have never modded a game before until today so I don't know much. What does CN mod means, Chinese?
I don't know any other modding site other than GB. I'm only stumbled across this site when looking for his Rossi mod.
I guess my taste is a bit too bland but his mods are actually easy to customize as I mainly want character base outfit but less instead of different outfit/model mods. And most of GB mods are either different outfit or deformed body mods.
I'm currently seeing this [chen in the image] randomly when moving camera around. I forgot to check if that happens to all other mods but so far I saw that happened to Chen, Tangtang, Endmin which are using his mods. Is this because I put too many random mods onto the list or it's a known bug of his mod? Is there any fix I can do?Screenshot_1.png?ex=6a690a7b&is=6a67b8fb

I had that problem too; it happens when mods essentially flood your storage. As I mentioned, ARK’s protection mechanism kicks in and deletes some data from storage. It also interferes with the mods, sometimes blocking them from loading correctly unless you do a full restart of the game.

If you have Windows 11, you can test it yourself.
Winods + G
If VRAM usage hits 90% or higher, the game starts swapping data out.

You seem to have a modicum of knowledge of how mods affect performance. Are there any settings, engine.ini edits, and so on, that could overall improve things? Maybe "trim" mods to simplify them? I don't use Snaccubus mods or KatTheDev's (two that have massive-ass mods with toggles I'd never use), but I suppose there are a few others that could tank performance in a similar way.
I think the biggest culprit of game lag and frame drops is RabbitFX, even with the shadercache option enabled. In comparison to non-modded, DirectX12 mode (or even just a few basic UI mods), the performance lapse is quite noticeable. Loading in and rotating the camera just slogs for a moment or so, but it's killing my experience. I wouldn't even use RFX if half of my mods didn't require it to even work. And apparently DirectX11 and 3dMigoto also suffer from performance. Suggestions? Other than not using skin mods? lmao

I got the basic info from XXMI; that’s where I was clued in.
Yeah, the current Rabbitfx mod is giving me trouble too.
But the description does mention that there are still bugs in it. ^^
For now, it's best to just wait. You could try turning down some graphics settings if necessary, though the problem usually lies elsewhere. ^^
Oh, and mods with too many extras are usually rubbish; they tend to conflict with other mods. XD
If in doubt, it's better to stick to simple mods.
I’d love to use other mods too, but not everyone keeps theirs up to date—plus, you see that trend of people wanting to make a quick buck and then just abandoning the project. XD
Unfortunately, no one has built a fix tool, otherwise we could use older mods too. It's a shame.
