Which sims game has better kink and fetish content? (Sims 3 / Sims 4)

I came here from Skyrim admittedly, but this is all a LOT to take in.

My goal is to find out, between sims 3 and sims 4, which has better customization and kink content? Specifically female centered content

I'm looking for things like pregnancy, public use (like glory-holes and fucking in public in general as well), BDSM, exhibitionism, pet-play, diverse exposing clothing options, more extreme stuff like that, but this is a lot to sift through. At a glance kinkyworld for sims 3 seems like what I'm looking for but I'm not really sure. There's just so much to look at (at least for the sims 3, I haven't checked sims 4 because I was already a bit overwhelmed trying to sift through sims 3 content)

Any advice, or general discussion would be very appreciated, I'm sure once I start learning, the technical aspect of installing the mods can't be harder than Skyrim was (I hope)

I'm not here to divide two equally important camps in the unified experience of a modded Sim game.

The Sims 4 is easier to mod (edit: Create mods- both games have drag and drop mod use), with a game that returned to it's Sims 2 roots for stability. That includes a 64 bit compared to 32 bit game engine, and the interest of a younger player base.

The Sims 3 while older, requires more 'love' to remain stable as mods (think the Matrix: Guns - we want guns) can overwhelm it's ability to function without care in their use. It offers an open world with different social mechanics and it's own charm.

As a Sims 3 user (EA's habit of endless expansions gets expensive) I wasn't going to do that again after the Sims 2 and the Sims 3, so I parked at 3.

I have noticed the desire to make a profit with other peoples 'tools' much higher with the Sims 4 mod creators meaning gatekeeping is higher while many of the Sims 3 mods can now be found in various Archives including the base game and all expansions/stuff packs along with the code to install them with NO ORIGIN.

Did this help? Probably not in the way you wish.

Choice - never let someone make yours for you.

If it helps - players of both will help anyone whom takes the time to read what others have already presented for that exact purpose. No one wants to answer the same question over and over.

Have fun!

I appreciate and thank you for the thought and effort you put into this, but you are right that it wasn't really what i was looking for.

The goal was never to have someone make a decision for me, all I wanted was information pertaining to mods that may have the content I was looking for to help speed up the process, without me sinking hours into searching through all the mods.

The info you provided was still of help to me, in regards to the fact that I'm probably going to want to go with sims 3 on account of the mods being more readily available and accessible overall, so thank you for that

Scanning any photo posts is a great way to see some of the variety as well.

"go with sims 3 on account of the mods being more readily available and accessible overall" - To be fair the number of Sims 4 mods available for free will still outnumber the same for the Sims 3. The Sims 4 has an insane amount of mods.

Definitely good to note, however, looking at the other things you said, I'm also taking into account that the base game of sims 3 is already much closer to what I'm looking for, offering a more open world that has more sandbox possibilities, so I think I'll want to stick with it

In my experience ...

If you're playing a dom, go for S4. Nicer animations and a variety of mods to choose from (BDSiM, Alchemist Kinky Expansion) plus many BDSM objects. There's even strip poker (Alchemist I think) and an active porn career if you get AWE Porn Enterprises. Wicked Whims even allows you to distribute traits efficiently amongh NPCs so you can e.g. make all men Pervers.

Problems: Some BDSM furniture causes game hangs when placed on public lots. And if you make a shy/sub sim and give every NPC pervy / dom traits ... nothing happens, they leave you alone, no one makes mods for sub PCs. (Even "Dreams of Submission" (which BTW I think causes UI crashes) is all about your sim dominating others, and does nothing if your sim's a sub. (Stupid misnomer of a name really ...)
Same forBDSim, you can dominate / collar others but no one will ever even try to dominate your sim.

Same with Alchemist, you can be devious and corrupt the townsfolk. If you're shy, nothing happens. If you use a "Do This" mod to make horny NPCs start situations, the UI breaks / nothing happens on the sub side.

If you want your sim to be molested by NPCs, get S3 and KinkyMod. Random sims will ask you to flash them, dominant household members may order you to undress, random sims may grab you and tear clothes off ... (You can finetune your town using traits but have to edit each sim individually. Insane sims may rape you, evil sims won't call the police if they see that, etc)

Problem: It's all a bit slow. Game takes forever to load, and not much happens in the first few days of a new game. Stripper career was unfinished last time I played that.  Outfi update at lv4 and 7 Exhibition seem not to work with full body clothing. Katie did a wonderful job fixing many issues, so play the latest LL version.

I'm a little late to the chat, but if the "compulsive monetizers" of Sims 4 are a problem, there's a way to access that content without paying... I don't know if this breaks any rules, so if anyone's interested, I'll send them the link to that page via PM.

I personally gotta say: Sims 4 has a ton of animations and also lots of fetish content. The huge problem is, that many Sims 4 Creators are simply out for money. This refers to CC Creators, Mod Creators and Animators, which is a shame! But I think that both games got amazing creators and lots of kinky stuff, but in different directions.

The thing is simply that Sims 3 doesn't has such a finished and supported Mod as Sims 4 does. Both, Kinky World and Passion got their own sets of problems and are way smaller mods than WickedWhims is.

Also, the Sims 4 got a way bigger modding/animation community than Sims 3 does.

One other reason for that is that Sims 3 is way harder to create stuff for and also, the community isn't as big as the one for Sims 4 is.

But I like the contents of the adult mods of both games, even though Sims 3 is my go-to game in general :)

sorry, this is old thread, but I suggest to try both games, they both have so good animations, the biggest advantage of The Sims 4 over TS3 is that has first person camera built in (but no all animations work well with it) and I feel TS4 has more variety of group sex animations.

Personally? I prefer Sims 3. Whether it has the better kinky content I cannot really say, but Sims 4 has its own load of problems with custom content sharing and the marketplace.

S4 probably has the better content simply due to the amount of modders catering to it. Or rather a wider selection of kinky content.

Fetish content, per se, seems a bit "underserved" in S3.

That being said... if you are willing to invest some time and effort, you can get a pretty amazing and stable kink version of S3 going and the open world absolutely adds to the chaos that mods like Kinkyworld (I love it!) can cause in the general population. Random orgies happening on the street or at The Grind or wherever. It is absolutely hilarious at times, but also truly amazing (Just whip out your genitals somewhere and watch the snowball effect, if you manage to get any townie horny enough XD). And I mean, yeah, if public sex and exposure is your thing, I doubt you can ignore the possibilities the open world, exclusive to S3, brings you.

Kinkyworld pretty much will tick all your boxes. It does fall flat on the fetish / BDSM / pet play area, so you might have to complement it with some mod that covers that (I don't know any out of the back of my head).

In Kinkyworld especially there are a ton of goodies hidden: A functioning brothel system, a fully functional interactive kinky high school system (Which does require some effort and undocumented understandings of the requirements to get up and running, but its totally worth it!), the ability to cook your own meth (Jesse, we need to cook!), and a lot of other fun stuff. It has its kinks (Ha!), but with some patience you can work with them. In that one mod alone there is so much good stuff hidden.

In order to get this far, however, there are a ton of mods you need and things you will have to do, in order to make everything look decent and run well, and to deal with the (inevitable) bugs (And skins... you will definitely want skins, unless you like your sims looking like overdue fromage XD).
