Expanded Incest Mod

Hey, I found the problem of why this mod wasn't working for me. The alchemist kinky expansions/fetishes was clashing with this mod because every time I update the mod, i replaced the files with the new version but I needed to delete them to get a better version of the mod for it to work with this. So, either way I got this mod working now with no exception reports anymore!

I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Both my sims have a trait (one unabashed and the other ambivalent), but I can't get them to actually have interactions beyond expressing opinions regarding incest. I have an option for convincing the other sim, but when I click on it, it loads up then disappears before anything happens. Any help? I have all my mods up to date

You need the ww incest attribute on both sims, those traits don't unlock it themselves! It's just called incest. You can add it through the ww attribute menu or just the one one from my mod since i added it to the interaction be accessible from one place. It's the first one at the top of the screenshot that shows the trait picker in the mod page. And the resolve to convince just unlocks a mode of gameplay, it doesn't make the sim visibly play any animation

Hi! I probably should have mentioned they both have the incest trait as well. Sorry for the brightness of the screenshots, but these are the only options I am seeing. Should I have more like the ones on the mod page?

Ah, I see, then it's normal, dw. Most interactions have certain requirements for romance level, and even if they have that level it requires a social context for it to show up like them flirting in the conversation prior, etc. And the ones for discovery are exclusive to that game mechanic

Hi! Thank you for all your hard work! I just wanted to share this mod conflict information in case anyone has the same issue in the future. When I played this mod while also having Lumpinou's Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul (RPO) installed, I couldn't use romantic interactions between siblings. Once I removed RPO, the romantic interactions became available.

Hey, thank you for commenting! My mod doesn't unlock incest, RPO conflicts with the inappropiate unlock itself, which is the one that allows you to enable incest, because it has a reinforced incest protection for its own purposes. AFAIK there's an option to turn it off in the RPO settings, but I don't know more because I haven't used RPO in a long time

Omg, I'm so dumb! I completely overlooked RPO's settings (I had initially only seen the option about step-siblings, not the more general one). I just double-checked, and everything works fine now. Thank you!

Hi me again, I want to point out that after the help last time the problem seemed to continue but after removing my RPO Relationship mods, this mod now works perfectly and is so fun to play with

Can you elaborate on how the Obsessive trait is supposed to work? I put it on a few sims and couldn't find where or how to use it in any interactions in the game. Manipulative trait on the other hand had a clear seperate node on the interaction wheel and was easy to use and worked fine. Obsessive trait said something like "allows you to add two traits to other sims which is needed for the trait to function" and I just could not for the life of me figure out what that meant or how to get it to work. Thanks in advance.

You need to click on the sim you want the obsessive sim to get obsessed with while controlling the obsessive sim. It's under Obsessive->actions->Develop possessive/protective obsession. The pie menu for obsessive has the same icon as the trait

There aren't any incompatibilities that I know of as it doesn't override anything, as long as you can get the unlocker working (Like someone mentioned RPO can interfere if you don't disable incest reinforcement in settings)

Thank you! Yes, you can use them together, no issue. And rn I'm not sure as I don't have a set plan even if I have a couple ideas for features

Hey, thank you, I'm glad it's working now, and that you like it! Yes, RPO interferes with the inappropiate unlock because it adds extra incest prevention, but I think there's a setting in RPO that lets you turn it off so that it doesn't interfere

Thanks for explaining. Unfortunately I still can't find it.

 

Just to double check, the Obsessive pie menu isn't hidden under a submenu like Friendly or Mean or Wicked or anything like that? It's strange because I'm now even more sure that I can't find it on my playthrough. Everything else with regards to this mod seems to work just fine, including being able to add the Obsessive trait itself to sims, I just can't find the Obsessive pie menu at all. Even when I'm controlling the Obsessive sim and clicking on other sims like you explained. Does it matter that I'm playing the base game (i.e. I don't have any expansion packs)? I must be doing something slightly wrong.

Important: Now requires Lot 51's Core Library

This mod adds social features surrounding incest. It doesn't unlock incest. Wicked Whims and Inappropiate Unlock are REQUIRED.

 

I started making this mod well over a year ago, since I wanted more drama ingame. Then, I got distracted and dropped it, tried multiple times unsuccessfully to pick it back up, etc. Until now, that is. It seems I was a bit late, in that another mod that expands on incest was published since, but since I made this, I might as well post it. This mod has a different focus in some ways, so it should be made better by Forbidden Fruit rather than clash with it. I'm Also uploading a couple other minor mods in this post, including one I deleted.

 

There are two parts to Expanded Incest: The Core, and the clones add-on.

Content in Core:

• Things like having an incestuous dynamic with someone having more impact on sims.
• More reactions surrounding incest in various ways, an opinion system.
• 80+ social interactions. Most of them are hidden behind traits and other gameplay elements, though!
• 4 Incest-related attributes. Can be added under under Incest>Actions on the same sim you want to add them to.
• 6 computer interactions
• The ability for sims to develop crushes on family members, under Incest>Actions on the sim you want them to develop it on.
• Children of related sims can get the inbred trait, but the system for getting it is quite wonky. Don't rely on it. Regardless, it doesn't do much as of now. Theres a cheat (TestingCheats + Shift click) to add it just in case.
• Discovery (Enabled between sims without the incest attribute) and persuasion (For a sim with the attribute and one without). Both enabled under actions.
• Family play for the incest fetishist trait
• The ability to expose sims' relationships, also a bit wonky. 
• 2 CAS traits, Manipulative and Obsessive, with effects not exclusive to incest, because why not. (The actual reason why is that they started as incest attributes but it didn't make sense to keep them restricted to it as they were too general)
• I don't know if there's more. I just want to get this over with. I invite people to find out themselves

Clones Add-On (Requires Get to Work and Realm of Magic)

• 12 social interactions
• CAS trait, under lifestyle: Dopplebanger. Clone related. The game's geneology tracks them as siblings and you need the Incest attribute to romance them.
• Moodlets surrounding clone on clone romance.

 

Additional content warning: Besides what's evident in the title, there are a couple moodlets with passive suicidal ideation in this mod, particularly with the "Repressed" trait. When you expose a sim's relationship, there's also a chance they get notifications of harassment wishing death on sims. The obsessive and manipulative traits include toxic -some bordering on abusive- interactions.

 

Other two files:

 

"Vampires React to Periods": Requires Lot 51's Core library. Really small mod. Adds a couple of uncomfortable moodlets to vampires when they are around sims who are on their period. Self-explanatory.

 

"Bloodthirsty trait":  Requires Lumpinou's Mood Pack. An unserious trait that gives sims cartoonish murderous urges. Has a couple moodlets when killing sims in the Extreme Violence mod, too, but it's not necessary to have it.

 

I kept adding all these things while wishing to be able to finish already, but then only making it more difficult for myself to do so because apparently I'm like that. The mod might be a bit unstable, but right now I think I'm about hitting my limit right now. So I'll just post it.

it would be great if there were more translations besides french, such as spanish or brazilian portuguese [my language].

Hey, Thanks for releasing this mod! It adds a lot of fun and dynamics to these relationships. One bug I've experienced is when doing the computer interactions, my sim will rapidly gain the writing skill. It basically just instantly max's out the skill once they start. 

 

Not a big issue, but figured I'd point it out. Again, love the mod and looking forward to any further development or updates you may come out with!

More explicit buffs like a father can't believe he f'd his daughter. Needs more shock not necessary regret. But excited. Use more profanity with the vulgar language mod. Make them anxious about it. Similar to Ravens Incest traits.
