ditrugatorninja Posted October 14, 2025 Posted October 14, 2025 Hello i'm having a problem with my character's facial expressions it changes rapidly from default expression to one in which eyes are closed, mouth is open and its very silly, also forced i can use showracemenu or player.mfg reset to restore it back to normal, but after a while, no matter what, its glitching again i read the forums, about some altering mods or conflicts with hdt hair, so i reverted it back to a vanilla one and its the same the bugs seems to act after a few shouts or after a few moments of dialogues those two pictures were taken after a whirling shout, face changed instantly i attached the load order too i also tried with a custom race, reinstalled mfg console or clean up sexlab expression registry; any suggestion is most appreciated load order.txt
Kastagir Posted October 14, 2025 Posted October 14, 2025 First, you can place your load order as plain text in a spoiler. There's no need to attach a file. People are going to be more willing to open a spoiler to look at your load order that way if they don't have to download and open a text file from an unknown source. Second, what expression mods do you have installed? Female Facial Animation? Expressive Facial Animations? These mods only replace morphs (.tri files) and don't include plugins so they won't show up in your load order. If you have a particular expression mod installed, make sure you downloaded the morphs for that expression mod from the SC Mouth mod since the expressions and racemenu morphs won't be correct if you don't download the proper morphs. Finally, check the MCM for your headtracking mod to see what the player expression strength is set to. This mod changes your character's expression whenever they headtrack an actor and the expression is based on your affinity to that actor (e.g. happy for friends, angry for enemies, etc.). The mod may not reset the expression to zero afterward unless you set the expression strength to zero in the mod's MCM. 3 hours ago, ditrugatorninja said: the bugs seems to act after a few shouts or after a few moments of dialogues These are not "bugs," they are the resulting behavior of the mods you have installed. Just because you are unaware of their settings or incompatibilities does not make them bugs. Use the proper .tri files for your SC mouth mod and use proper settings in the headtracking MCM if you don't want persisting facial expressions.
