i had a fish once when i was young, and they really don't do much, most of the time they just stay doing nothing or eating, but i think there's people who likes stuff like that, to feed and watch then

i would recomend a hamster, cheap, easy to feed, clean (most of the times) and they're fun to play with as long as it doesn't go behind the furniture and starts chewing cables

or a lobster, my faher had one i still can't understand why he liked it so much

and i have a little fence built around the pond, because my cat really likes fish.

I wish I could have a pond with fish in it. But It gets too cold out here in the West during Winter.

I would love to have a Japanese-type of pond with Koi in it XD

haha cool. i got coyotos up here and waht not so.. Lol

We have coyotes around here, too. But luckily they don't catch fish. ;)

I can't see Grump in the tank either. Is it an inivisible fish or is it so grumpy it's hiding in the log? :D

Ooooh, tank fish.

I had 4 green blowfish for years. Fancy little fellas and really fun to watch/play with. But they take a shitload of care, needing special food and constant salt supply.

I can really recommend these guys. Get two males and uneven numbers of females and snail shells. I have a record of how mine fought for teritory for two years. They're extremely fun, let me tell you, and need next to nothing.

Had Neon Tetras and a similar sized type with black stripes whose name I can't remember.  Then I got a cat.  Much more fun.

Cats are definitely more fun. Cats and fish tanks? Even more fun yet. :D

I'ved one like, 6 of those "beta" fish. Kept dying on me despite taking good care of them.

After a while AI just said fuck it. Plus I have cats anyway.

don't betta fish kill each other in captivity?

Well the first time we had them, we found that out the hard way...

After that we just kept them alone.  Once in a while throw in another type of fish to see how they interact.

But the betas kept dying.

Never figured out the cause of their demise. I have a theory it was due to the water, since where I lived then the water had a lot of iron content in it.

As I recall the pretty, colourful betas that people want are the male ones.  And they will fight if given the chance.

i had 2 tanks fish one 120 l  and other 80 l  scallers, guppy, ancistrus and yellow snails (ampullaire) and japaneese shrimps

and what i like most is i had about 50 kind of water plants :)        it gave a lot of material to learn and i had a lot of home made staff to have  less to spend  money and time  .     but i had to end this for personnal reasons :(       may be one day i will have bigger tanks ! :D

My brother bought a huge fish tank and a bunch of little bottom feeders and easy-to-take-care-of fish (liars, liars!). It ended up becoming my chore because I simply can't watch a living thing die from neglect. Sadly, there's only one fish left so I bought him a smaller tank to sit by my desk. :) It's kind of fun to watch him eat his little pellets (He goes nomnomnom, then chew chew chew!) and my cat adores him too.

..No actual name besides Fish Fish. Though sometimes called Mr. Fishy.
