Guest Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 (edited) > We know much about the world's culture, places, and people today. But there is still much we don't know because it wasn't written or reported. I have been thinking about opening this thread for the last several days. I would like to know something about you, your city, country, people, and things that only you or a few people know or do, something that makes them interesting and that doesn't exist in any media. Themes can be various. For instance: - Did you know that the city of Rijeka has the largest gay and lesbian community in Croatia? or: - Did you know that prostitution is forbidden by law in our country? or - Did you know that 90% of sex shops and cinemas were closed in Croatia at the beginning of 2000? ... and so on, and so on. > Of course, discussions about religion, politics, nationalities the the hate speech aren't welcome, although you can mention something like this in the form of info: - Did you know that Croats are 98% Roman Catholics? or - Did you know that Međimurje district (North Croatia) has the largest number of gypsy in Croatia? > I am 100% sure you have something interesting to share with us. And .... thank you. Important: If you don't like this thread, please don't leave negative or poisonous comments. Just leave in peace. I don't want to report anyone to the moderators, but I will do it if I am forced to do it. Edited September 30, 2025 by Evaloves4
Mari Rin Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 The topic is interesting. But honestly, there's so much I could write about my country here... but I don't want to read the negativity and reveal where I'm from. Sorry for not supporting the topic. I'd love to read interesting facts about other countries. 2

Let me encourage you to post: - Did you know I lost my virginity when I was 13, and that I had more sex with girls than boys?

Let me encourage you to post: - Did you know I lost my virginity when I was 13, and that I had more sex with girls than boys? Thank you for the revelation and for the clarification. If you've read the thread, the worst thing that happened to you during sex... well, you get the idea. I get the idea. Well, okay. My parents were involved in my education from childhood. I had my first teachers when I was three. At four, I read books by one of my favorite authors, J.R.R. Tolkien. Except perhaps "The Silmarillion," I read it at 11 and understood it at 13. Since childhood, I've had a special love for books. I read almost everything I can get my hands on. 1
Mari Rin Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 Did you know that: I write short stories, I love creating genre chimeras, and I'm currently learning to write first-person stories. But I lack the courage to publish them... My big dream is to own a house with vineyards, write books, and produce truly good wine, perhaps tailored exclusively to a specific person's tastes. 🍷 1

Fear is your biggest enemy. Punch it in the face, publish your story, and let your baby live regardless of the opinion of the people, because there will always be those who would like it, those who don't, and those who don't care. It only depends on which group of people you would listen to. > Anyhow, did you know that more than half of the population of the globe is negative about everything?

I'm writing a story online right now, here on LL, without any preparation. But I'm taken a break now... I have some things to do that prevent me from concentrating and writing without distractions. This is incredibly upsetting. Unfortunately, the promotion of criminality, permissiveness, and the advertising of a supposedly glamorous life are simply a pretty veneer that makes children think they can achieve anything without much effort or education... then comes disappointment and resentment... but the state benefits from controlling stupid people...
Mari Rin Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 I'm 19... but thanks to my parents, they instilled in me a love of knowledge from childhood, helped me find myself, try myself in everything, and talked a lot and talked about everything, shared opinions, knowledge, and experience. 1

This thread isn't only about positive and good things, but also about the truth, regardless of how negative it is. Here is a good one: - Did you know speaking the truth is more relieving and liberating than lying? (I have learned this very early in my life, that's why the three of us never lie. We are teaching our children the same.)

It's not that I didn't like it... but because it seemed strange to me if I reacted this way to a sad story.

Just add your own blog here on LL and have a try. Since I want my stories to set in The Witcher universe, I put them also AO3 and later on DeviantArt. Oopsie, I broke the thread rules 🤐 So I need to rephrase: Did you know that I decided to start writing Witcher-Universe-themed stories this year? Did you know that I’ve put the first parts here on LL in the blog section? Did you know that I’ve put them on AO3 and deviant Art as well? 😊 This way should fit into @Evaloves4’s thread rules?
Faolon Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 I thought prostitution was legal in Nevada... Guess I should figure out what "our country" means first.
RedHeadAngel Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Here’s one about me, I suppose. Did you know that I graduated from high school when I was 16?
