AmyScarlet Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Hi Hi As anyone had experience sending stuff abroad? Preferably using the Royal Mail from the UK.
AKM Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Be careful with payments. I once tried to buy something from a UK company. My bank (in the U.S.) froze the transaction, then sent a letter. I had to call them (from the number in the letter) and explain the situation to them. Yes they were just being a good bank and looking out for their investors. No, I never did get what it was I was after. Depending on your bank, you might be better off telling them you'd like to make an overseas transaction beforehand. Kindof a pain, but better than loosing a bunch of money to some overseas scheme.

AKM Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Apparently not. No phones, of course, means no interwebz. They are rather backward! That's a joke though. They do actually have online banking which they are perpetually "improving" much to my disgust.
FallenWarrior Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Hi Hi As anyone had experience sending stuff abroad? Preferably using the Royal Mail from the UK. I've sent stuff both to the US and Holland (had to package the stuff extra good though, since our fucking postal service loves to treat packages like crap), but never to England. Though I did sent some letters back home when I studied there. Had no problems what so ever.
