Nevermind, ignore my previous statement. I though about a way to edit it and... it kinda made things easier. 

Still, honestly i'm not happy about these ones. The top mess a bit with the shape of the body, so overlapping with the nude Shantae base basically forced me to redraw part of the outfit and background. I'm not sure if it looks good enough ><

i struggled a bit specially because i wanted to keep part of the shadow that is casted by the top over the upper part of the breasts, but the nude base had different shape, so using mask in photoshop to keep some things was a mess. Originally i said "fuck it" and just applied a mask removing the shadow.

Eventually, once i finished the 5 edits, i decided to go back to it, copy/paste-ing the shadow from the original pics and then redrawing them manually. i'm not sure if it looks good enough... ><

Here there are 10 pics. The first 5 show the redrawn shadow on the upper part of the breasts, the next 5 ones don't have the shadow, so pick whatever you want (or if somebody else wants to do a better job at editing them ><)

Worst case... hope you like them ><

I have a theory that the developers included this massive amount of sprites just to make life harder for modders, but of course, that's just my theory.

woah, thank you so much for these. the little shadow you added is excellent. and with those all portraits are done completely!

as for the sleeves for the angry default shantae, might as well make an official graphic bug report to wayforward and hopefully they fix that little mistake themselves

 

anyway, this week's delivery is the first edited cutscene image, in case it can be ported back in

As far as things are right now, literally impossible.

Doubt it. This game is emulated, the other games aren't. I even found the source code to Ducktales Remastered on the Internet Archive, which had its engine used in Half-Genie Hero. I asked someone here to look into it, but came up with nothing. The folks at Wayforward know what they're doing.

i would still like to hear confirmation to see if the portrait art isn't stored as individual images as well in the other shantae games

i might try but it'll be very difficult. like how would it work? add the boobs and even if the boobs are now longer due to the nipples, the program will accept it?

 

i think the gameover and battle mode can be done as is

 

on a side note, i found that an image repeat in a few section. but since its different sized images, i dunno if making it only once would allow to be used/transposed for the other usage

file_select_shantae_2 VS costume_select_shantae_normal_default_2 (dunno what the difference between the 2 is)

 

ive been also looking at the title screen. if for example the girls in it get made topless but the silhouettes aren't touched up, would the difference impact something? since the clothes are still somewhat seen in the silhouette

on a side note, i still would like to have answer on the questions i got there

especially on the imge and silhouettes

for now me im just furnishing the edit of the portraits and the cutscenes

HOWEVER, for the programmation and actually making a mod using all this nude art, i have no idea, thats not my side. in fact, i do not know if someone is actually using all the art im posting to insert it in a nude mod. im just hoping it happens

 

asnyway, this week's art is the gameover cutscene, both shantae's and risky, with two options. when in the editing process, it was noticed that in the first step of removing the arrow in shantae's butt, it created a sort of smoke effect that i found hilarious. so i got a proper smoke effect for the funsies. it goes well with her seemingly exploded pants. but just in case not everyone find it funny, theres also a non-smoked out butt effect
