Anyway, forgive me for sounding envious and I know there isn't a competition but there's something I noticed: It took my Tangle & Whisper NSFW Pack 5 days to slowly get 36 downloads while Haise Sasaki's version already reached that same number within 13 hours, and now it has more downloads than me the next day which I can only imagine it'll be significantly higher by next week, regardless of the effort I put into editing the models and the presentation of my own mods' showcases. This kinda makes me think that nobody cares about my mods but I guess it just goes to show that canonical model-accurate nude mods is really an underappreciated art. However, it's a style I value very much because it makes the nudity in these stylised games more authentic to me when it follows the characters' official cartoony designs. I dont get it honestly, We need more folks who can appreciate and value accurate proportions, your mods are amazing and Ive been having so much fun getting first place against other who dont know my character is naked~ Ive had to retype this comment many times careful not to hurt anyones feelings, or get into an unwanted argument. I get your frustration and I whole heartedly agree that people can like what they like and that its disappointing that there arent many that can appreciate the accurate proportions of your mods. At the very least, I personally really enjoy your mods and Im grateful to have at least one modder to make my favorite sonic girls with their bitties out, I also love that you make stories for your mods on how each character got naked in the first place, seriously one of my favorite 18+ modders and I hope you can continue the amazing work, you have my full support 🫶 6

In regards to your on-model mods, it is less about appreciating the art, and more about what body type actually interests people. Can you say you're surprised that most gooners lean toward bigger tits and cakier cheeks? Not everyone's choice, for sure, but I think it's safe to say most people are going to use the mod they enjoy looking at the most, especially if said mod is going to be on screen constantly. This is not to say yours are bad or inferior by any means, but most folks aren't into nude mods for the thought of being naked. They're into it for the visual appeal. Your mods are more geared toward the "Let's give this character wardrobe freedom" idea, whereas RochesteDorm's and JZSuper's are more for the "let's see them curves" idea, which just happens to be pretty stereotypical. Plus, having tried your mods before, there is not much to be had in the visual difference department, when comparing to the vanilla game models, like if I'm using the cloaca mods, I literally have to go into photo mode to see the additions, and in all honesty this applies to most of your mods. Your mods are art, and many people like them, but you can't expect to compete with the tried and true "bigger boobs and butts" mods, despite how they tend to oversexualize the characters. I myself fall right into that category, so I can definitely say my tastes are not unique by any standards, but I think that's okay. Either way, you do good work, and I think your mods provide variety that no one else will. 6
Obligitury Posted March 7 Posted March 7 (edited) I feel cats mods would be more appreciated if it wasnt done in a racing game where the camera is usually far away from the characters in the first place. if there was a little hub for the characters to walk around in with a closer camera then im sure cats mods would be getting way more downloads, saddly with just how the game currently is only big butts and boobs are so much easier to see during a race. we can only hope the next sonic crossover game has much more freedom of camera control that doesnt rely on a photo mode camera to get a good look with. Honestly I love accurate proprtions and part of my wishlist for Bunnie over Rusty is to have her accurate. I just havent really been racing alot lately so I havent been downloading new mods. (although i am **begging** you to do style accurate miku). Its just kinda the culture of nsfw mods that the predominantly cis het male demographic is just gonna go for tits n ass over your much more tame alternative. you even see this in fanart. I managed to get a hold of the model thanks to nexusmods and i don't see why it got trashed when the model actually looks really good, there is only 2 issues i saw with it when i checked the mod out myself, mainly the hair and boobs, the hair is way too long and didn't seem to have any proper wavepaint on it so when she crouches down you can really see it bending in a very bad way, and the boobs seriously didn't have any jiggle on them, making her seem a bit stiff where as the naked sage mod with bigger boobs for her actually have proper boobs jiggles, other then that though, the mod i do really love how grown up she looks 2

I was also being very careful on how to ventilate what's on my mind because I don't want anyone to misinterpret me again by getting the wrong idea that I dislike the lewder kinds of nude mods or that people are wrong for preferring them when I'm rather just neutral to those mods and I respect everyone's right to like what they want. Will say, I personally downloaded both (cause I like to have a bit of variety) and I looked at the numbers. I think the issue is the individual packs have a collective of around 65 downloads while i assume the full packs have the 44. The individual numbers don't count towards the main page's numbers. If ya halve the individual downloads assuming every person got both characters the numbers are pretty even. No real point to make other than love both mods and the work y'all do is greatly appreciated.
