Yeah NiGHTS is a old series that never really got continued as far as I know, just one game on the Genesis and a Christmas edition of it. Outside of that, it was just some cameos in other Sega titles for a while. As someone who knew of NiGHTS before this, I'm surprised they even brought them back for this.

There was also a wii game that didn't do too well from what I hear. I think it was because there was less NiGHTS gameplay and more filler gameplay junk.

NiGHTS is weird because they're only really known among Sonic fans and that's because they make a cameo every couple of games or some mechanic is a reference to NiGHTS like how looping things being an attack. Kinda like how Captain Falcon is only known because of Smash

Nights was playable in Sega All Stars Transformed, albeit as a car most of the time, it was a nice touch that their air "vehicle" was just themselves flying. Due to that I held out hope that they would end up in Crossworlds too, especially once we heard about the third-party characters, how could they not, right?.

Not the case for CrossWorlds, I'm afraid. Cars are customizable, and playing as NiGHTS would kinda make that a moot point if they just turned normal in the air. Also it was only during the "all-star" power up that they turned to normal form, not while flying.

 

But yes, NiGHTS is playable.

There are a series of mods for Crossworld that allows characters to just run around without a vehicle. The "On foot" mods. Like This Eggman one, for example. So someone could potentially do the same for NiGHTS if someone really wanted too.

Damn, I forgot. It has been a few years since I finished it, and really I was most happy to be able to "play as" the Hornet High-Class from Daytona USA with the sound effects and even crew chief radio cues. That's what you call fan service.

I feel like I recall seeing a flying Metal Sonic, and a hovering Silver one, so certainly we could one day see Nights flying around, I'd wonder if it could be compatible with model/texture swap mods too though.

I don't think I need to point these out, but there's a busty NiGHTS mod, a Jet cock mod, nude Whisper and Tangle mods, and judging from all the mods they've put out without being requested or commissioned, there are likely a bunch of other mods they're currently making.

There are many mods in the works and many requests out there. They arent getting paid so be patient. Maby it will happen maby not. Many modders dont do commissions so just be patient unless one comes to you.

Unsatisfied with other Female Sonic mods, I ported the model from Sonic Generations.

 

Early version, but I'm too burnt out to keep going.

the reason she probably doesn't have one, compared to Amy and Rouge (and only those two) having them is due to them actually being in that game and having those proportions. Blaze wasn't introduced until after, so she just can't have "SA2 Proportions"

we can imagine what it'd be like if she did, tho tbf in canon she's flat as a board so she probably still would be in sa2 as well. the reason the others aren't is bc they actually have some chest to them already. it's that type of shit, yknow?

Like the images and such. Every character typically has like a rendered image of them to go on menus and such, plus they might have names changed in menus as well. Could also imply the edited emotes are included in the UI version.

Well, that's not entirely true. There's a NiGHTS mod that has an "SA2" version, making them thiccer. NiGHTS isn't in SA2, either. As long as they're a Sonic-adjacent character, using "SA2" as a thiccness option term is perfectly valid in my eyes.

 

You may not like it, but the way the term is being coined is "Rouge was thicc in SA2, so when you say 'SA2' it means thicc Sonic character". I hope that makes sense. If not, you do you.
