Juanitoperez13 Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 Hi, my game doesn't recognize the mod and I always get this after the update. heeeeeeeeeelp
Danlo Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 here what a modder say about they're own mod problem hope it will help you: EA’s Aug 19 Patch & SimRealist Mods Nichole 3 days ago 1 min read EA’s 8/19 update changed how scripts load, which affects injection-based mods (including ours). We’re actively reviewing and updating all SimRealist mods. What to do right now Remove all SimRealist mods from your Mods folder Delete localthumbcache.package Keep Script Mods enabled When new SR builds appear, install and test If you want to keep playing meanwhile, use a new save so you don’t advance your main households without SR features and risk losing mod-related progress. We’ll post mod status updates and downloads here as fixes go live. Thanks for your patience while we work through the updates.💚 — SimRealist Team
Husk Posted August 23, 2025 Posted August 23, 2025 Have you turned Script Mods back on in the Game Options after the update? The updates usually turn that setting off by default.
Juanitoperez13 Posted August 25, 2025 Author Posted August 25, 2025 You are a genius, you were absolutely right. I enabled the mods but I didn't notice the scripts box.
Juanitoperez13 Posted August 25, 2025 Author Posted August 25, 2025 However, it no longer let me play, so I checked all the mods and the one that was damaging everything was the AEP.
NazT77 Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 I have the same issue, I will keep watching for a fix.

Did you check to make sure that script mods were enabled in your options? Also with the new patch you may have to go through your script mods, and figure out what may be causing your issue The latest patch borked quite a few.
NazT77 Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Yeah, I deleted all mods and reinstalled just the wicked Whims.; but the scripts are not working for it. I sent the last exception and tried to reinstall again.

Check to make sure the script is not more than 1 folder deep..
NazT77 Posted September 1, 2025 Posted September 1, 2025 Thanks for the help, It's working now. I had to move WickedWhims so it was only one folder deep and check for duplicate files in other mods.
daenwallace Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 Got the exact same problem as in the screenshot above. Scripts are enabled and it even recognizes the wicked wims mod, the only mod I'm running at the moment: I deleted the localthumbs and even wickedwhims in the saves folder. Still the same error. Any ideas?

Any ideas? Seeing as that is the only mod you are running, the only thing it could be is that the script file is more than 1 folder deep.
daenwallace Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 Thought of that too, but the folders be like: C:\Users\myname\Documents\Electronic Arts\Die Sims 4\Mods\WickedWhimsMod

Most updates turn off scripts and you have to manually reenable them. That is all I can think of sorry.

daenwallace Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Nothing to be sorry about, you guys are a great help. Scripts and Mods are enabled both. My exact version is: 1.117.227.1030. DX11 When I let ChatGPT analyze my last exception log it says: Exception in Sim Timeline: Exception running Element (KeyError: 15826)

Might be helpful to get a bit more info from it. MC Command Center Mod has very good error reporting too, besides other things, so you might want to give it a try.
daenwallace Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 After deleting every mod with a script in it except for WhickedWims which was not touched I now only get the error message above without triggering any exception. BUT WW seems to work somehow as it for example stated that I now installed 14k animations. When clicking on a sim I can also choose between pose or customizitation - but every sex action is unavailable. As there is no exception the only log I have right now is: WickedWhimsInfoLog.log
daenwallace Posted September 5, 2025 Posted September 5, 2025 Got it. I deactivated my McAfee Realtime Scan for 15 minutes, started the game and everything worked. Well. ^^ 1
