Well according to the Steam forums, it's only censored in the west. The forums also make 100% clear how insane the west is about protecting their censorship.

i don't think its true correct me if i am wrong but so far there is no footage of the japanese version without the black void

Same; and maybe the nudity is simply optional as part of the clothing tear mechanic. But I primarily want that void removed. 
Tasteful nudity > blatant TnA every time.

Yeah i also dont care much for a nude mod for Hinako/ this game...  just change her clothes to something more attractive / cooler/ sexier whatever.  I aint digging her mega boring school outfit at all.

I guess you are one of those that hate this game cause is not made in SILENT HILL, like if all RE games are made in Raccon City XD not to mension that the silent hill situation happens thanks to ALessa, an asian girl, with probably Japanese Roots.. so maybe this game can gives actual hints to the origin of it all.. plus if you like japan culture and J horror stuff like the ring or Juon, then this si going to be epicness.. if you dont care much as its not set in SH, trust me as a long time SH fan I was skeptibcal af first despite loving japan, their lore and culture... but after a few trailers and reading some reviews my mind is at ease and am very hype.. if you are not.. then I kind of get you but I also feel you would be missing out, oh well!

also, in japan they are more open to this stuff.. like in Fatal Frame 2 there was a couple of outfits for mio and mayu, both high schoolers, in lengeries XD but trust me when I tell you that now how things are lately in the west, that wont be included in the game, at least not in the western version... sad

Is RE called Racoon City RE? Because Silent Hill was called that because it's the name of the town and in some way or another it was linked.

you know there are origins stories (movies games) that dont happen in the location where they have the name? and its ok... is said that this game will connect with the whole thing... according to many people the game is a SH in almost every aspects with the inclusion of some new things (which I believe is fine.. it's called improving)... anyways! if you dont want to play it.. sad but I will enjoy it very much.. and will find out if this really connect to alessa after all haha

literally many movies and shows like smallville the actors were adults playing teens in highschool... LOL.. considering actress from this game is adult, wouldnt her model make it an adult model? XD anyways! logic here wont work ...

also I've looked it up online and apparently there are a lot of people saying that heather panties are visible in game but is hard to see.. I tried to find proof but couldnt.. will look it up futher...

haha, you got me there, probably that shows that english is not my native langauge.. here we say in my language EYE, cause the EYE of the storm (the center of it), is calm, before the storm kicks in again when it moves... although now that I think about it, I believe we also say calm before the storm.. didnt know in english you said silence... interesting.. 

regardless, can wait for the mods

I have no idea, I just was relaying it from there. I own the u.s. version. I hadn't even really played much of it, and just started getting into the game. I thought this crap was something that was gonna be obvious and dumb, but it hasn't shown up yet, so I haven't really cared, all that bothered me.

I'm playing on hard, have gotten past the first boss and have seen like 3 crowbars and a sickle and no one has broken

Damn, we're at moderator approved posting by page 2? That has to be a site record lmao.

 

But to be on topic: it looks like there is no lower body. The fog covers a literal void. Its being discussed on other modding sites. So it isn't as easy as removing the censor. A whole lower body needs to be made from scratch. Certainly possible, but not as quick and easy as people were hoping.
