Basically, the speed is about the time it takes to register and start Sexlab in a new game, and since on my rig and with my load order that’s really not a serious problem for me, I can do without the mod for now. Even so, I think new casual players will benefit, because honestly the forums keep getting flooded with people who have no clue what they’re doing with their Skyrim setup and thought, because they saw a nice video with good mods, that it would be a walk in the park. I’ve been playing this Bugthesda dinosaur for more than 15 years, so I know what I’m doing. For now, P+ doesn’t really give me any benefit, but I can definitely see the advantages for new and frustrated players who already have enough to deal with handling their load order, even though that’s supposed to be what mod collections are for, and even then it still doesn’t stop people from continuing to look for answers to their bugs. 3 hours ago, noctred said: There isn't much need for a video as scenes simply start immediately, regardless of the number of actors In my setup, there’s not much difference when there are more actors, maybe just 1 second more and I don’t think taking 1 second to start is really a problem. I could definitely take another look at the mod later but for now I’m going to pass, thanks. 1
Koyun_piU Posted July 17 Posted July 17 i encountered that: -most of the animations that involved more than 2 characters was almost impossible to "play" without making a bunch of things before outside the game. -almost any animation pack requires an SLSB conversion, without it the original animation pack just remain unusable. -i got about 3 or 4 times more CTD when i tried using P+, after going back to the original Sexlab i got no more CTD. Personally the only good thing i got was the almost instant scene start, nothing more because i never reached the "animation limit", so... to be honest maybe i got an incomaptibility with another mod but it was my usual modlist, the only new thing was P+ so... at least in my case i could never recommend switching to P+ searching for an actual upgrade, i mean...in the usual Sexlab it takes less than 10 seconds to play an animation, im pretty sure i dont have a hurry to worry about that minimal amount of time haha 1
hotrack Posted August 14 Posted August 14 For myself, I wanted to try P+ but I have personally edited SLAL anims packs (removed anims and edited source-json files), so a personal conversion is needed rather than a straight up download of converted SLSB files. But then questions been arising on compatibility with some stuff like Sexlab Defeat and Apropos 2 has me shelving any plans on trying P+ and also wondering its stated benefits to my gameplay.
Crocop777 Posted August 17 Posted August 17 (edited) I'll not use P+ until they make a hotkey for changing the stage of a scene or swapping animation like SL Tools. Edited August 17 by Crocop777
joenothing12 Posted Friday at 05:06 AM Posted Friday at 05:06 AM Not worth it. Don't get me wrong it's good software. the missing features will get worked out with time. It's the format change to slsb. The old format has been around too long and there's a lot of mod dependencies on animation files that are no longer supported. Unless the old format is supported, either directly or via a very clean perhaps automated conversion, some mods and animations are going to remain a problem. In my case I used mostly the billy animations and it was excellent, it wasn't until i used mods that expected specific animations that it really became a problem.
