Bluegunk Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 Skyrim has a laugh animation that looks more like a sudden onset of multiple bone fractures. Anyone know of a good replacement? I haven't been able to track one yet.
FauxFurry Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 Unfortunately, there only seem to be poser mods which play laugh animation rather than replacers. Perhaps GunSlicer will eventually make some after covering the other base game animation (the progress of which is actually fairly advanced at this point)?

Looks like I'll have to cope with the corpse-like twitching of Bethesda's original for a while longer.

Would it not be possible to simply rename the file to whatever the vanilla animation name is used and place it in appropriate file path as a loose file, run FNIS and presto! I did something similar with shout animations long ago. Even went as far as attach it to DAR conditions so it only plays for females. Shouldn't be too difficult to do, once you locate the exact multiple bone fracture file name. Edited August 14, 2025 by belegost

Behavior files do not need to be rebuilt for simple hkx file replacements. On 7/31/2025 at 7:56 PM, Bluegunk said: Anyone know of a good replacement? Have you considered Fallout 4? Is there a laughing animation in that? Fairly certain Cathedral Asset Optimizer can convert to SSE/AE.

But it won't hurt to do it just in case. In fact I have my mod manager run it automatically every time any animation mod is being installed or removed. I don't even need to think about it. It just works (tm). Edited August 14, 2025 by belegost
