Not my first time around, I did mods before with Fallout3 and NewVegas but that was a couple years ago.  I wanted to try again with the updated and hopefully less buggy mods.  I wanted to try the sexout mods to be sure my load order was running before I loaded it down with other Nexus junk. 

 

Game loads menu and open movie at new game but crashes after the following load screen before the heartbeat and facegen.  I've been trying trial and error loading for a while now and I'm thinking I must be missing a hair pack or something an ESP needs at that load. 

 

As far as I know I followed the instructions for the mods I've got but only a few mention load orders so I figure it must be there.  I've tried cutting quite a few mods and it still crashes.  What am I missing?

 

 

 

Also if someone could post a lengthy list of their WORKING load order I might follow for future referance that would help a bunch.

There is one thing I thought was a little funny NVSE is set up for steam.  My fallout NV isnt run through steam, though I have it.  so when I loas FNV the steam message pops up even though it's not run via steam.  But that shouldn't have anything to do with my problem.

Running NV via the NVSE loader still uses STEAM (otherwise it would have to circumvent the DRM), the button in the STEAM application is just a short cut to the vanilla .exe (non-nvse) in the folder.

 

Does the game work without loading Sexout?

 

Are you absolutely sure you are using the v3b2 of NVSE and not the stable v2 by mistake? This would cause it.

 

Did you install everything via FOMM?

You didn't download all that stuff today; NVSE v3b2 hasn't been available for a few days -- It was replaced with NVSE v4.2b2 a few days ago. NVSE v2b12 is still available but too old for use with the extender. Upgrade them both to the latest; NVSE v4 and NX v12 and try again. NX v11 is going to be retired soon.

I followed links, but I did notice a few comments reffering to the newer NVSE and was a bit confused.  Some mods do mention the specific use of v3b2 but it might have been the latest version at the time.  I'll update in a few hours and tell you how it went. 

 

And yes the game loads fine without anymods.

Most of that, when you see it, is an implied *minimum* version. If it says v3, v4 will be OK for it. Likewise if it says NX v11, 12 or newer will be OK for it.

Thanks again.  I would like to see a good example of a sexout heavy load order.  It's not that complicated but when I did mods last time I just tossed everything in and had more bugs and extra esp's complicated by a screwy load order. 

 

I know ESM's are pretty streightforward but some of the discriptions of ESP's are a little picky.  Does the order of ESP's matter that much?  Natrually if it has a parant they usually say, but a good example is all I ask now.

For the .esm files, the important thing is use this load order:

 

Sexout

SCR

Pregnancy

Slavery

Legion

..

Any other sexout mods underneath, like Store, msexBase...

 

The .esp file order generally does not matter, but always check mod descriptions for exceptions/conflicts- a few sexout mods replace others, conflict or are outdated. It is suggested to load the sexout plugins after your others. Some people like to load the MCM either first or last. Try to keep your total number of mods down, and definitely under 100. Some people can load 200 fine, but its asking for trouble. If you find yourself d/ling 100 cool looking mods, use half and save the others for your next character.
